The adminstration and integrity of this website has gone to the proverbial dogs. Steaming pile of hot dog poo poo is what has become of it. The one and only meaningful aspect left here is the value of the actual members.

It's like have a beer with mates inside a sewer.. And all for what reason? I have my theory.. every dog has its day.
 
Just incredible that DJ could be banned by MyBB. He has been nothing but invaluable to this forum - one of the best members beyond a shadow of any doubt. He added incredible insight into the broadband industry, and had interesting and well-substantiated opinions on many topics. Not to mention he is the CEO of a major ISP ffs.

There is no excusing this on MyBB's part, and is the culmination of a string of unacceptable decisions regarding CW and DJ.

It's really sad that this is what has become of MyBB.
 
I'm just as shocked as everyone here. I enjoyed Shaun's comments the most on this forum, always had facts to back up his statements, asked the hardest questions of a certain ISP in their own thread before the formation of CW. Truly a sad day in MyBB's history.
 
Obviously their competitors (not hard to see who that is) paid for a nicely targeted smear campaign. Shocking that this is what this place is now.
 
I am sure there is politics involved above our pay grade.

However, it is truly disappointing that mybb is becoming nothing more than a buzz feed / advertorial site
 
How about we spam their Twitter account with the same question, why ban the CEO of an ISP from your forum? I wonder if rpm went with the ANC on that trip to China to learn how to censor difficult people/situations? Or maybe it was OpenWeb getting their knickers in a knot about CW being a real ISP so they threw advertising money at mybb to ban DJ? Conspiracy theories FTW!
 
I don't think it was a competitor. I think this is personal.

Perhaps this is what is needed to try to bring back honest, truthful and hard-hitting reporting, journalism and of course activism without the obvious sham and self auditing it has become.

Agreed. Just strange how within a week of DJ posting a slightly critical of MyBB post, a list of CW usernames are published, and then DJ is banned. DJ, please let us know where we can follow you.

Strange how there have been a lot of darkweb/hacker type articles as well lately. Wonder which MyBB reporter is cosying up with a blackhat?
 
Getting back to business and assuming CW hasn't abandoned this support channel is there any update on when the portal will be back up?
 
Do what I did and vote with your wallet - ad block MyBroadband.

Did that due to continued OpenWeb support but this is a good reason as well.

Agree with many here the only value of this place is the members. Best they remember that.

Why would rpm risk the organisation's reputation (which is all it has, really) for a bit of ad money from a partner? Far more likely to be an emotional thing.
Not to mention repeat bans of the CW directors for disagreeing with some of rpm's actions and decisions.
