My 425GB account is now 500GB, and goes from R949 to R799pm!

And 40Mbps home premium uncapped goes from R2499pm to R1299pm!

Great to know if I want to change to uncapped that it's now an affordable option.

And you get free open-time data (00h00 to 18h00) on top of that.

Yum,

So I've gone from 100GB to 150GB and the price has dropped from R279 to R249 :D:D

and of course the uncapped from 00h00 to 18h00 until the end of the year.

Very berry nice!

Thank you CW

Why would they want less of your money? Also these prices are still a joke.

The only thing that's a joke is the network performance of other ISPs. Shaun talks about technical stuff in the CW email - these guys have a lot of crap to juggle around and aren't helped by being underdogs. It's impressive that they can provide the quality of service that they do at those prices.

My current backup account on Afrihost (lost the data on my CW account this month) is a 300GB account for R599pm. Afrihost Plus for R99pm doubled the data to 600GB, gave me a free Simfy account, 500MB mobile data that I could tack on seamlessly to my MTN contract sim, soft capping and 2-for-1 topups. Then Afrihost announced uncapped from midnight to 6pm and doubled all data (even AH+ data) so my cap became 1.2TB.

Insane value yes? But guess what - the account performs like crap almost every day. What is the point of all that if I can't use my internet connection properly? A ton of colourful sprinkles on a turd doesn't make it a chocolate sundae.

Is it only existing clients, that get a product upgrade?

You'd have to be an existing client to get an upgrade, so yes we're rewarding some of our clients with free product upgrades.

The pricing you see in the mail applies to everyone. New and future customers.

This, I have the exact same issue with Vox - great value product, rollover data up the wazoo....unusable for large periods of time

Memory refresh needed - do the Uncapped accounts allow a concurrent connection?

No, but we are looking in to this on premium uncapped. The problem is that rate limiting involves splitting bandwidth, so the two wouldn't concurrently run at full speed.

Will we get addition Xtreme Home Capped packages with lower caps (50GB, 100GB) next week?

We're currently on the 100GB Home Capped n usually have a lot left over at the end of the month. With that being upgraded to 150GB all that extra data will go to waste.

There are no plans for small Xtreme Home Capped packages at this time.
