Pings are not a good measure of gaming latency.
Game data is bigger than icmp packets, and maybe be treated differently at some points along the network path.

All I know is I've been happy as a pig in shyte with CW because I can game on 250 odd until this rubbish started last week, that they're aware of, where it's mostly unplayable ......... all the tech explanations in the world don't matter to me, just fix my gaming.

Yea this new XTTH capped profile shenanigans are horrible.

Also feeling it in my gaming :(

EDIT: If possible...just put me back on the old profile and leave me there! It did not have problems.

Anyone else with incredibly high pings lately? 150 ms to local servers.

WoW sits at 230ms to Europe and CSGO to Cape Town from Cape Town is at 150ms.

What's going on guys?
I tried out a CW trial account yesterday, since I'm having bad latency in CSGO with my WebAfrica Business capped account, and unfortunately CW had the exact same issue.
Restarting the PPPoE connection sometimes makes it worse, like where it was 100ms it would jump and remain at like 200ms. If I restart it enough times I usually end up getting it back to like 20-50ms, depending on if its a CPT/JHB Mweb CS:GO server.

Seeing that CW & WA are both using IS, I suspect that its perhaps a peering issue with MWEB. Traceroute/ICMP ping shows nothing out of the ordinary though.

So crazy to see a barrage of CW network complaints. I wonder why things have gone so south for them.

CW....

I'm still getting usage emails showing a huge incorrect cap usage. As reported on Monday, that over report is still there, who elses report about has not been fixed?

and You'er not suppose to be shaping, or shaping at minimum... well your shaping torrents 8pm-6pm to death...

My distros are flying in at full line speed... (Xtreme Home Capped account).

What package are you on?

also extreme home capped,

And I've done a line test, anywhere else, anything else and I'm getting just about line speed.

and this why I can say I'm being shipped, I know what I can get,

I very seriously doubt that you are being shipped or shaped. According to your download list, how much data are you using per day (on average)?

I average 4GB/day normally, when I do torrents, which is normally one or 2 evenings a week I"ll go up to 6GB for that day,

I have 7 programs I download weekly, each program approx 380MB.

I will say further that I can stop the torrent, leave it for a couple of seconds, then start it off, it will go to line speed for a couple of minutes and then slow down like crazy.

The above download evening was last night, none of those 7 torrents completed. All started at about 7-8pm last night,

Interesting usage email this morning. HTF does one determine what's in capped period and what's not when it's all lumped together.
