Sooo, how does one check mobile data usage? Set a bandwidth meter on my phone, but I would prefer to see what CW reckons I have used, or that I am using it at all :O
Client Portal shows just my ADSL account at the moment.
Unfortunately, I am unable to delete 2 of the default APN's on my phone. Even though the CrystalWeb APN is set as default, it still worries me. Really don't want the Vodacon OOB shark to chow me.

Man, this month's usage is going to be insane.

1st of March: 133GB
2nd of March: 128GB

Day 3 of the month just started and usage is at 248GB. :wtf:

I see you are using the FIBRE to its full extent. Don't worry i would have too :D

I am vodacom prepaid. Do I need a new sim to use CW vodacom data or can I just change apn details

Is there anyone at support that can help me.

Been having hassles all week and my port was reset this afternoon. I had to go out and when I got back support was offline.

I have no no connection at all.

Regards

This is NOT a support channel.

Send them an email or get onto live chat.

It's the Backblaze account that really does it tbh. Unlimited online backup means around 6TB is going to be uploaded, and even thereafter anything downloaded will shortly be uploaded for safekeeping in the cloud. Backblaze doesn't seem to be able to upload faster than 15Mbps, but that's still around 120GB a day when uploading from midnight to 6pm. 3.6TB a month for Backblaze alone.

So nearly two months to upload my PC and all the externals, but at least I'll have lots of peace of mind once everything is safe. Backblaze has a really nice service where you can 'buy' large external hard drives from them to send you for much faster restores, and they refund you in full if you send the hard drives back.

So, spoke to support today, they can't give me an answer as to why my crystalmobile apn isn't working and had to escalate it, which means I might only get an answer on Monday.

Meanwhile, who do I send my OOB bill to when my 6mb of Vodacon data runs out tomorrow?

Is there no representation for Crystalweb in the Western Cape? Had a meeting with Vumatel last night since they started rolling out Fibre in our area and were hoping to see some proper ISP representation at the event... only Telkom, Vox and some other ISPs showed up. Doesnt seem like ISPs are really worried about the Fibre rollout at the moment?

perhaps try their live chat? CW seems to be everywhere, maybe their support guys can direct you to the right person to speak to.

Was just debited R4135 by Crystal Web. No clue how such an amount was arrived at, and billing took so long to give me a detailed breakdown on live chat that they said they'll email me rather. Still haven't received anything.

Fibre installation is a once-off R1710. The 500GB data account is R799. So I'd love to know why a 100Mbps line that was only active for half of Feb costs R1626.

Edit: Everything is order, if CW credit or refund the portion of my Feb data that was billed simultaneously with my fibre bundle. The amount above included Feb pro-rata, March and fibre installation costs.

Final edit: CW sorted everything out amicably to the satisfaction of all parties.

CW in the Western Cape

CW are very interested in the Western Cape. They already have a signficant number of Vumatel customers there and would love to get more. Let them know how they can help.

So currently i am having a problem when playing on oversees servers. Every so often my champion will just freeze and the game continues around me. Now this seemed to only be happening on WebAfrica, but it is even worse on CW... But on Afrihost i have zero issues.

Link for reference.

Is WA and CW both using IS and if so, then something is seriously wrong...

Yes they are both on IS. I reported this same issue with World of Warcraft about 3 weeks ago and even though I keep following up with live chat nothing seems to be being done about it, just empty promises that they are looking into it.

I have sent them traces proving there is large amounts of packet loss on the IS network every time a spike happens. I cannot fathom why this is taking so long to resolve.

I had issues playing BF4 last night on local servers, the lag was horrible and even had Disconnects . Was not the server, everyone else playing was fine.
