Discovery Vitality 2023

Wait why is 112/74 too low. I thought lower than 120 for systolic and 80 for diastolic is fine. I recently did my Health Check and the nurse going the check told me my 111/71 was fine. What's the lower limit?

No clue but this was the only item i didn't score max points. Will test again in the new year and see if I get a different score

Is it possible you answered the diet, exercise and mental wellness questions badly (if they did this part)?

Nope only did the health check and made a point to mention I eat a lot of fruit and veg etc

I'm considering getting vitality. I don't bank with them. It would merely be for getting rewards exercising. Wonder if theres a calculator to calculate how much I miles I can earn if I do 9 exercises per week.

Exercise by itself earns a trivial amount (although it can fund an Apple Watch). Do you buy loads of fruits, vegetables, and skinless chicken at PnP or Woolworths? That’s where you will earn Miles.

Three half hour sessions a week can be enough to max out exercise points.

Where I live, we don't have a PnP or Woolies.

I grow most of my own vegetables and fruit. Fruit I buy during winter months.

I think you’ll have very limited opportunity to earn a lot of Miles. Maybe if you buy specific toiletries at Dischem or Clicks.

What about Checkers? I saw something about them coming on as a partner next year.

Can someone post how much rewards they earned just by exercising?

It’s trivial. Your exercise goal gives you one play on the gameboard each week, which is worth between R10 to R100 a week.

Well that's dumb. So you exercise to gamble.

Well you can also just have a coffee at vida each week, but something tells me that you don’t have a Vida close by.

Vitality works well if you immerse yourself in the whole network (Health, Bank, Drive). If you skip parts then it’s very hard to make it worthwhile.

I thought you just earn points as you exercise and achieve certian goals as outlined in their brochure then spend it at one of their partners. Now I hear it's trivial. Meh think I'll skip.

I'm confused. Discovery have a fitness reward and a active rewards. The Active rewards explains what you said in your previous post it being trivial. And the fitness rewards says you get miles. which one is it I'm confused. this is more confusing that the different range of garmin watches on the market.

I can’t immediately think of what that is. Whatever it is, I don’t get any Miles for it.
