Disqus moderation discrimination

rietrot, based on what I experienced here today I have to disagree. Out of the 13 posts only two were helpful. The rest were full of name-calling.

Cosmik Debris answered my question. Its not that I am being flagged as some sort of ne'er-do-well, but rather that the members I saw getting posts immediately validated has been "whitelisted". Thanks Cosmik Debris. Bwana also sticked to the topic, thanks.

RedViking, the three times I criticized the writer my posts were removed. Go figure.
Most of my removed shitposts either contained swear words or was simply a meme or the words "lol", which to me feels like valuable input, but since I'm biased in my own favor there's a good chance I'm simply wrong about that.

skeptic_sa, thanks for making me look like the Karen I was acting out here. Related.

supersunbird, if I knew I wouldn't have needed to ask here. The modes doesn't give reasons for these things, making it confusing at times.

You'll find the comments on the Disqus section are far more informed and to the point. Stick to the subject there and you're OK. Avoid internet memes and abbreviations.

The forum contains younger members that have yet to learn to stick to the point instead of express opinions with no substantiation, not troll, not attack the poster and to stick to facts.

Thanks, Bwana and Cosmik Debris. I hadn't read OP properly.
Edit: I had read the title as a verb: "Discuss".

This is the second time I am writing about this and I feel personally targeted. Whether that is on purpose or coincidental I do not know but hopefully, other users can share their experiences regarding this issue to help put me at ease.

When reading articles, we sometimes have a strong urge to voice our opinion on the matter. Disqus provides a platform to do that on. Now, the moderation team is leaving me voiceless and hopeless by flagging my comments as spam which simply isn't true. I feel like I am being gagged, either because the moderators disagree with my opinions or because they are out to infuriate me on purpose. I have attached a list of comments on when this started. I contested the results via the platform itself, however, I received no relief.

Even if these wrongful flags are ultimately removed, by the time it has been done the article is receiving no more traffic and my input will go unheard. There is no way for me to get that back and I feel defeated.

My previous post regarding Disqus moderation was met by users with:
"Disqus is trash and comments are useless."
That is fine and I respect that. It doesn't change the fact that I feel I should have an equal chance at commenting on it and having my thoughts seen and heard as other users do.

How many posts of yours were never published?

I can’t answer your question, but all I can say is keep fighting the good fight. Truth will prevail.

Those who oppress us today, can’t stand forever. It’s always darkest just before the dawn.

Aluta continua.

If only there was a MyBB forum to voice your opinion on...

Will say here what I say to all these sorts of threads: Trying to dispute the moderation policies of any online platform is a waste of your time. Stop playing the victim card and move on (don't even bother with reddit if you take moderation so personally).

To be fair, in the case of Disqus, they're relying on AI and/or machine learning to moderate there, which they haven't got optimized properly

You're free to think whatever you want.
Exactly. Thus adults can discern from themselves if a perfectly logical, rhetoric sound and valid argument is indeed such or not. Adults can counter the argument with valid reasoning or concede if they are indeed wrong. No censorship and topic/mindset regulation needed for controversial topics when it does not overstep sensitive issues such as race, sexuality, anti-semitism etc. Especially when it is produced from first principles and sources.

Thanks for everyone's comments so far. Whether unhelpful on purpose or not, it still gets views and therefore attention to the issue. I appreciate it.

Ok, so I responded sarcastically about Apple's ploy to rake in customers by offering a 10% discount on their laptops if 25 are purchased, but that was deleted. Fair enough, but how is it that others post far more sardonic replies and their posts are upheld?
This is not a Kumbaya nation, this forum appears to be heavily moderated now, what's your take on this?

That you have a nice forum here to comment at hearts content on the same articles but you prefer to waste your time on "Diquss".

And when you say "this forum", you do not mean this here forum, you mean "Diquss".
