EA will remaster Command & Conquer: Red Alert in 4K

Under the current political climate, I doubt that it will happen. Here is an old 2004 article, IOL nogals,

Thanks for the info and insight

I bought the remaster off Steam.

Installed in VMware Fusion, and it sort of works, although Fusion only has DirectX11 support in the latest beta's.
Its rather flaky though - getting tons of crashes.

Going to install on Bootcamp, and see if thats any better.

When I say 'Egypt', they think I live in a shack," he said.

And when you say SA they think you have lions in the streets..... muricans are ignorant in general.

I should have left this game in my head as fond memories. As a kid played it every afternoon and at LAN parties. Played the remaster exactly twice and haven't touched it again. Maybe I should try online.

This is compared to AOE2:DE where I have put in about 200 hours so far and loving it.

Been playing the CC / RA remaster - enjoying it.

Can't wait for RA2/Tiberian Sun though. Those were the days...

I've never been a C&C fan.
Give me Starcraft rather.

Playing the remasters they really do feel very slow-paced compared to the sequels. Tiberian Sun and RA2 was the Golden Era for the franchises IMHO

Yeah noticed that too.

The old ones are also substantially harder / less forgiving. I've been reloading saves a lot more. e.g. start off with 20 soldiers. Then some enemy tank happens to squash 5x of them while driving around and that's game over. Rest of mission with 15x isn't gonna work.

The modern arcade-y stuff is way more forgiving
