FNB Pricing Guide 2015/2016

Incorrect from what my Private Banker has stated. Minimum balance will be 15k.

I hear you... But I also hear what my premier banker just said. Maybe we should get your banker to mail my banker and they can sort this out? Lol, they might even be in the same office.

What I've found is that most of the bankers are uninformed themselves. As long as I got it in writing I can fight with them :)

I'm a bit late on this thread, but thanks to everybody who investigated this and posted info here. I'm also on the old Fee Saver option so I'm glad I only have to maintain 15000 in my account, not 50000.

Can someone please direct me to the forum where people discuss the FNB connect rewards ADSL? Thank you in advance. And please don't kill me, i am just a newbie

So I called the Platinum call centre and spoke to a guy there who said the only significant difference is that the minimum balance is now R15k.

I asked if he could email me details on the fee saver pricing plan so I could at least keep note of it and he said there is only an internal document available, but he said to me on the 1st of July there will be a PDF uploaded to the FNB website that shows the pricing plan details for old Fee Saver clients.

He said it was noted this year that people complained that they are on the Fee Saver but FNB doesn't publish details on the Fee Saver anywhere on their website which is why they will now be publishing the PDF on their site stating it's only for existing Fee Saver clients.

Log into your account and click the "Pricing/Rewards letters" link at the bottom. My letter still has 9k for gold.

Oh, awesome, thanks - never saw that before. It's actually got all the details here for July 1 onwards.

Important changes on your account
On the Fee Saver pricing option, you will not pay a monthly account fee if you maintain the minimum balance
requirement at all times in your Platinum Cheque Account. Please take note of the change in the minimum balance
requirement from R9 000.00 to R15 000.00 effective 1 July 2015. If you are able to maintain a minimum balance of
R15 000.00 in your account at all times, you will receive the following benefits:
• Pay no monthly account fee.
• Enjoy unlimited FREE qualifying electronic transactions which include:
o Cheque card swipes.
o Cash@Till™ withdrawals.
o Debit orders.
o Payment and transfers through FNB's Electronic Banking channels.
o Four FREE FNB ATM cash withdrawals.
o A combination of three FREE branch and cheque transactions.
....

Does anyone know how to do cash at till without buying anything on the cheque card? Most places say I have to buy something first

Evidently some place will let you and others not. I did so at Canal Walk (Checkers and PnP) without any issue. I withdrew R700 and R500 on the last 2 occasions.

Ok cool will check which retailer does that here.

On another note, does paying for fuel with the credit card attract interest? I currently use my cheque card to pay for fuel

FNB Gold credit card now R40 per month. I could get to reward level 3 which would give me .8% back in EBUCKS, but the first 8 grand spent every month would earn enough EBUCKS to cover the monthly fee = zero profit!

Am I the only one who finds their pricing insane? That's R480 per annum!

It doesn't provided you settle the full outstanding balance as indicated on your statement.

This. I use my CC for everything now that it gets you higher eBucks. Only time I dont use it is if I have to draw cash. Pay off my CC at end of every month and havent been charged interest.

Does this include airtime and electricity on their website?
