Yeah, I checked this morning too! I can't wait to ditch telkom and their 50kb/s upload speeds.

Now we just have to wait for them to come and do an installation. Hoping its within the next couple of days.

The new installation freeze period ends on the 16th so will be after that. I'm also Newton Park 1.6
 
I spotted one of the FF trucks outside our complex this morning, but I didn't get the time to ask them what they were up to. I saw they had a table there with an air compressor so my guess is that they were shooting some more cable down the conduits.

I see my area still says WIP on their site, with an ETA of end of February 2020. Here's hoping! Really keen to get rid of Telkom since the speeds have dropped dramatically since the beginning of December. We used to average 30down/20up and we are now lucky to get 8down/5up
 
Any providers in PE other than openserve have backup power during load shedding?

Our local FF node in Summerstrand doesn't have
A friend down the road on Vodacom stays up

What's your local speedtests looking like? My local speedtests are looking fine on FF (100/100) with Afrihost as my ISP:


I think any international speed problem is an ISP issue and not a FF issue if all local speedtests are looking fine.

My international download speeds are also a bit lower than usual tonight but I think it's my ISP that's the problem:

And I also seemed to buffer a bit on Twitch 1080p streams
 
Anyone else’s FrogFoot fibre not working after last nights / this mornings city wide power outage disaster ?

All my lights are on from ONT to router but eish no internet.

Direct PPoE dial up connection from PC via ONT also yields nadda.

FF PE is ****ing useless. Dude refuses to help me after telling me more than 48 hours ago I'd get a call for installation and then throws the phone down in my ear when I get angry at his inability to help or his **** attitude.
