My boss has forbidden me to answer any of your posts but I just need to clear that you are completely misinformed about our Heidelbergs clients connections.

Well I feel thats unfair. If its your property how can they stop you from accessing the config? As long as you have some knowledge regarding the config setup. What I'm trying to say is: just don't do anything to mess with the network.

But if you just want to check something like signal strength you should be able to. And afterall, it is YOUR PROPERTY!

How do you know they have a password on it? What router is it?:D

This is a wrong move Mr. Hart, if you don't want howzit on the forum then at least invest in some good pr to represent your establishment here.

Alot of negative publicity flies through here and without someone here to state your side of the story that publicity will remain negative. Having him on the forum has created the only positive feedback on this thread. I don't think anybody here regards his views as the official ones of your company and I cannot see any legal issues arising from anything he says or has said here.

Get your lawyers to draft a little disclaimer he can use as his signature if that is your concern. But please do reconsider letting him air your side of things and keep us better informed.:D
 
I think my post was misleading. I have not been banned from the forum, to the contrary, one of my tasks is to make sure that any posts here or elsewhere are answered.
He has just asked me not to answer posts that are obvious nonsense or posted by someone who has a hidden agenda because it just gives them credibility and makes them think they are achieving something by getting a response.

Why Doesnt Screamer add a forum section to their site?
Rebel its a Microtik router.
No its not something like admin with no password or admin password or anything like that :)
 
There is already a forum for Screamer. It's this one. The WiFi and WISP forum, which is exactly what they are...

Then they would have to employ someone to moderate it...
And by that, I mean someone to:
1) post fake "your company is awesome" posts
2) delete all the complaints
3) delete all the complaints from people when they realise their complaints were deleted

Think I'm joking? I can provide examples of WISPs that did this ;)
 
Just received a phone call from Screamer, they will be sending someone over to me tomorrow :) *holding thumbs*

If we need to check a clients connections or their network at home and they are working and unable to see us during the week then we arrange to visit them over the weekend, like today.:)

Because i asked them to come out on saterday or monday, those are the only days that there will be someone home. I work untill 8 in the evenings.

Anyway, thanks to the powers that be (howzit) who got the msg through, Johann popped in right on time today and sorted me out and by the sound of things, i am optimistic about the future of Screamer with Gavin Hart running things.
But they will have to work on their tech support, even the resellers are complaining about it when they call head office!

PS. My card got hit by lightning thats what the trouble was.
