Hi,

So I am looking at two TV's

The 60" Hisense: 60K390PA

or the 55" Samsung: 55H6203

Now, granted the Hisense is a bit more expensive than the Samsung (as they are not really in the same class). Is the Hisense worth the extra?
Does anyone have experience with this TV and trust the brand?

When it comes to TV I only trust one brand, Hisense! I have owned three and sold them off to buy bigger and better ones! But my love for Hisense is only limited to TV... Nothing else! For 11 years I have owned a Hisense TV and not once did it let me down...

Thank you I will consider it then... Which model do you own now?

Correct, that's why you are supplied with a remote control :) My brother-in-law had one for several years now, no problems at all and he's a heavy (ab)user.

Hehe, and the quality?
I think Samsung might be a better bet ito quality though.

You will not get better value for money than you do with Hisense.
This coming from a Samsung fan.

The Hisense TV's for R5k are much better than anything from Samsung. Some say Hisense are using Samsung panels, but they are superior to the Samsung equivalent from what I've seen. A family member purchased the K something in December and he has had no issues.

I've also got a few friends with Hisense phones and they have no quality issues.

for tv's cant go wrong they make really good looking tv

saw a 4k 85" at hifi cop,and it looks GREAT!!!

tobay it cost a arm and a leg then some more

Side by side you will definitely notice a difference, but all alone in your living/tv room you wont. Have had no issues with my 3 hisense tv's for the past 7 years.

Relevant to my interest

Im looking at their fridges at the moment

I'm also currently looking at a Hisense Fridge.
I'm looking at the 720l French Door currently on sale at Makro for R13999.
It comes with a 4yr guarantee which is double that of the Samsung. Which is R3k more

with regards to hisense.

Local production and mostly LG re-branded products.

Nothing to worry about. Know couple people running there TV for 2years+ without any faults.

Yes this is my dilemma as well, I can't figure out why a) its cheaper and b) it has a longer guarantee.

Hisense is pretty good. And they manufacture in the WC

I was hoping that fridge would go back to R12999 its been on Promo at R12999 for the first week of the last couple months.
Guess I'm gonna need to earn a few more ebucks

Thanks, yes I heard the same thing.

Interesting though, Hisense has a 3 year warranty where Samsung only offer 2 years.

If you just want a TV that is big and works and switches on every time HiSense is okay I guess.

If you want picture quality and colour accuracy stick to the Samsung.

So if you are the kind of person who runs everything in Dynamic mode and think that's okay and looks great...then HiSense was made for you.
