Home-Connect ISP Feedback

Welcome to the club. I have been with HC for 8 months and never got more than 2MBPS. This is their top International speeds on a 1GBPS package. After many calls they could not identify any issues. Unfortunately, we do not have any other services providers in our area.

Also, they are down more than they are on lately. Been sitting without any fibre the past 3 or so hours again.
Do you know what kind of penalties will I face if I cancel? I just joined them.

Zero issues with HC - they're certainly better than the rest IMO

Not sure. If I am not mistaken, there are no penalties, but they will come and collect their equipment.

The only reason I stuck with them this time, is that they are the only "fast internet" we have. Telkom LTE gives me, on full signal about 110kbps download speeds. They are between 1-2MBPS on a 1GBPS line.

According to the Home-Connect diagnostics tool my connection is "very good".

I'm with FF

Yeah well, lucky you then. I have an opposite experience with Home Connect and Evotel. To give you an idea, it took me 3 days continuously to download a 62GB series earlier this week. This is my experience since I joined them.

I will drop them in a heartbeat - the moment we get a new player in the area.

Ok, I have plenty of other ISPs available and chose them thinking they are value for money. I will return their equipment and go with somebody else who actually gives a damn about support. My Telkom LTE is actually superior to Home-Connect fibre at 11 Mbps.

Damn! I wish I was this lucky! Sitting now downloading on my Telkom LTE topping f**king speeds of 75kbps.... because the fibre network is down....

What seems common is the issue isn't with HC but with the FNO
But I have no contract or relationship with the FNO, HC must give me support and they are failing dismally!

why pay for a 1 gig line then, downgrade to the slowest speed? this is like giving eskom bailout money.

Home-connect is incapable of giving him even speeds of their lowest package, but I agree with downgrading as he'll save money regardless of the poor performance.

it's not HC issue but FNO issue, changing ISP's won't fix the problem.

i heard telkom have stopped canning their adsl, maybe just go back to that?
