iBurst system upgrade this weekend.

iBurst is broken at MWEB too. Nada. Can't even buy a booster - so guys - what now?
Do I get a refund for these few days of reduced functionality? Hmmm?

They're battling a bit with the integration into our new system, so we flew one of our programmers down yesterday to assist.

We also gave them extra bodies to help do the work manually while their system is tweaked, so you should be able to get sorted. If not, PM Shaun so he can help.

The beast is still restless after a relatively smooth birth over the weekend, but we're feeding it RAM and bits of code, so it's beginning to calm down.

Something of interest is that the concurrent user count is about 50% higher than on the old system, so more people are using it. A good sign.

They mailed a letter saying they're on top of it and won't rest till the issue is resolved - I figured it was typical, marketing hype, - so Mweb really see this as an urgent priority?

They do.

Two of iBurst staff is sitting in their office in Cape Town helping to fix this problem as I type this. So they're really trying hard and we're all helping to get it sorted.

Maybe something to think about, any company who's going to NOT want to service it's customers will go out of business. (And should)

MWEB really does care. I've been talking to their CEO constantly since the weekend and they're all on top of this.

New update.....

Hi all


You should get your morning usage mails tomorrow morning (22nd August 2009).

The Dashboard should be ok by the end of Monday the 24th.

The usage stats on the web site totals are correct. The up and down amounts should not be taken to heart and these will be repaired by the 1st of September.

API not working

We use the API to create contracts, order stock, change passwords etc , but it has not worked since your upgrade.
Reported to systemssupport twice and got **Zero** reply as usual.

We cant sell iburst or order stock or service our (joint) customers.
And to date our customers havent received usage emails/stats incorrect (await emails tomorrow and correct stats 1st Sep)

Can you chase them up.
 
I don’t have a problem with the Iburst upgrade. But please if you phone Iburst to top up some bandwidth and then they tell you there is an error but will phone you back in 1 Hour. Well it's been 3 days now and still nothing no top up and no phone calls but back at the ranch I have to downloads my emails and play my online games and pay more per min as I do not have bandwidth left. WTF wake up Iburst give us better support and do your job.

This is a serious issue.
I was under the impression that all normal top-ups etc. could be handled telephonically while the issues are being sorted out.
 
This is very serious. I phoned Iburst at 16:02 and they promised me that they will load the bandwidth for me it’s has been now 5 hours and nothing. No bandwidth and no phoned calls. What does this tell me Oh lets suck him dry. But don’t worry Iburst you this making my case stronger and stronger.
 
It is still not sorted I still don’t have my bandwidth loaded and I have used more than 480mb this is gonging to cost me a lot of money.
