Illegal download warning

1) Dude, wtf are you doing downloading a Screener? Waste of bandwidth and time!

2) Get OFF of the public trackers!

3) Use encryption & peerguardian

4) Use News Servers if possible ... quicker local content & no ratio to maintain!

good advice

"gregmcc: Tell them to go and screw themselves. They can't force you to stop using bittorrent. "

bad advice

Theft is theft no matter how you justify it.

Theft is not copyright infringement.

And more importantly, the right to privacy is a South African human right. By invading that privacy you have broken the foundations of South African Law

Breaking the law is breaking the law in your opinion, so in effect you're all for actually blacklisting/disbanding the companies breaking our law, and throwing them all in jail.

And for the record, yes, IS do infact blacklist [and block all traffic] ip addresses, I've seen it done before.

One thing I suggest, is that if you are going to use any form of P2P or even usenet, find out all about these things, including your rights as set up in the country that you are in. Anything less will not save you if things get sticky.

Usually, yes. This one is pretty good quility though. I checked out the sample first before downloading the rest. Great movie!

2) Get OFF of the public trackers!
Is everything available on private trackers that is availabe on the public ones?

3) Use encryption & peerguardian
I have started that now. What are their chances of getting me if I use these options?

4) Use News Servers if possible ... quicker local content & no ratio to maintain!
My max upload speed on Vuse is limited to 6kBps. Max download is 30kBps+ on my 384kbps line. Could you PM me the IS News server if possible?

Thanks!

Next time IS or any other ISP sends you a warning, ask them for the technical proof that you have downloaded copyright material.

Ask them for times, IP addresses, proof that the content was indeed from a copyrighted source, and also the methodologies used to ascertain this information.

If you are accused of something, ask to see the evidence!

Eish. Just go for it guys. Get you movies, games, app from torrents. Why must we always be the ones to be ripped off. Funny part about it is , they can do f... all about it.
To think about it, you basically buying the stuff seeing how much we have to pay for the internet access.
Happy Downloading.
