Battery is cooked on my 14 PM with the same load as my 13 PM...

Its has to enter power savings around 3-4pm else it won't be alive by the time I get home.
Have you looked at if maybe some app is burning battery in the background? If you did a restore then is your phone done with it yet?

Remove the widgets
I’m not sure how much the widgets affect battery life, this my setup on my 13 PM, I have widgets on the lock screen and home screen and I get upwards of 9hrs SOT, it’s 18:45 right now and I am on 40% battery, the widgets don’t seem to affect my battery much, but then again I guess it depends WHAT widgets you are using. I would assume the Weather ones I have would ping the servers a bit more than most other widgets?

It’s my assumption as to what would kill the battery with the AoD on.

You are very right also about if the device is still busy with a restore, battery life will be bad AND it still needs to index everything.

Can be getting better battery life on a smaller phone can I?

And I’m in YouTube and Tapatalk notifications most of the day.

Well that's not normal. Does Apple have a battery monitor that shows you if a specific app is hogging all that battery?

Yip nothing looks out of the ordinary and I checked with Coconut Battery too. I think it's iOS. Perhaps 16.1 will fix this.

Ooooh! You are on YouTube a lot, yep, that is bound to be quite brutal on battery life hey, though not to the point of you needing to charge so early in the day. I mean I often go to TikTok throughout the day and that barely it’s a power but strangely YouTube is a bit of a power hog, I think partially due to higher quality video settings (tends to default to 2160P if the video supports it).

Your YouTube usage and possibly screen being brighter than what your 13 Pro was are definitely bound to be a factor, IMO.

I’m not the one complaining. 1337 is.

My battery life is actually better than on my 12 Pro

I had the same with my 13 PM. Battery was excellent during beta and the few days I had it on RC. Then I got this 14 PM and the drain started. Definitely something unique to it and probably software and not super widespread.

Factory reset and setup from scratch again?

Nothing that stands out. Just the usuals and the hours seem accurate. I did restore from my 13 PM days ago when I got it and it's finished with all the downloads/setting up. Took it to iStore today to have them look (was there for Watch and AirPods launch) and they couldn't find fault. Said I should restore it from scratch which is a big no no lmao.

Would be a major PITA and a last resort... I'm removing things one by one right now to try and see if an outdated app is using a library/process that isn't shown in settings under usage.
