iPhone 3G? No thanks

Agree with Bwana, you can create a free gmail, hotmail or yahoo account on the iphone anyway, the iPhone is not overrated MMS among saffers is.

I only mentioned that one because I notice many of the detractors religiously mentioning it. The only unexplainably shortfall imo is the lack of cut and paste - which quite frankly boggles my mind.

As for anything else IMO the iPhone is as much of a vessel as any phone - users can easily fill it with what they see fit.

In all the years of having mms at my disposal nobody has ever requested I MMS them in lieu of another messaging platform . . . ever.

As far as I'm concerned the iPhone apologists are right - if you want mms just install an app.

Ha ha ha you iPhone guys don't read/listen.... you may have gmail/hotmail/yahoo but what about the person you are sending too? What if they have a phone with only mms/sms and NO EMAIL?!?! Get it. It is not all about you and you shiny phone. WHY be limited in your choices?

As Bwana said, I too have a phone from which I can choose MMS, SMS, email, video call, normal call....before having to load thirda party apps.. .and with a bit of effort (ie finding the apps) I can now also choose from yahoo messenger, windows live, gtalk or skype as stand alone apps, or any of that combination on fring as well as most other means of communicating known to man. The point is straight out the box I had more communication means than apple gives you. Not a problem until people start claiming the iPhone is the best phone on the market.

And while you are at ripping the need for MMS apart, how about those many other issues that were covered above?

No flash/LED?

Gaming controls? I am still curious about this and am yet to get an answer.

I edited my post, I meant to add that you can create an account for the other person. A phone that has MMS should surely have email, but then again to add MMS to the iPhone is just a few clicks/touches away.

Gaming controls can be placed anywhere on the touch screen, but this should become available soon...

Since the iPhone port is universal (as seen above) adding extra peripherals is not a problem(not as restricted as you may believe). We can have proper keyboards, pro swivel camera for video conferencing add ons etc. in the near future if Apple allows it.

No idea - my cellphone has bluetooth and I never use it to transfer files - cable is quicker and charges the phone while I sync instead of depleting the battery at an even higher rate

As I understand it they're virtual and therefore highly customisable. Good news is that houses like EA games lining up to design games for the phone.
 
Gee! Some people go on as if the Iphone have features we have never seen before! They only re-invent thinks, like a hefty price for a large-ass smart phone. There are better, smaller and cheaper smart phones, that is much more flexible. But I guess its the phone for the go with-the-flow idiot. Also remember that there is really no such thing as a Google phone. Android is an operating system for a phone. the same for windows mobile and Symbian. What can any of these phones do? I can "google" on at least my last 3 phones over at least the last 5 years. What I love about the Symbian OS, is that its the most popular. There is countless free apps. There are many good apps from google as well! It is also very stable. And its been around for while now. But I look forward in seeing more of Android. The fact that its open means a lot. The fact that its "google", make it being noticed by the guy on the street.

Please give me some time to update the site and these apps will be available FREE. You will have to edit your mobileinstallation file to allow cracked apps on the phone. A tutorial will be available.
 
I'm using the Sennheiser 'earbuds' with my 3G iphone - it sounds absolutely fantastic!

So easy to access your music on the iPhone, I think I've tried listerning to music once or twice on my SonyEriccson P990i & just gave up.

My music is with me again!! Woo-hoo!

*I'm loving this phone more & more....I'm obsessed! :p
 
Do the Sennheiser earbuds have the microphone etc... I'm loving the fact that my iphone sits in my pocket and i can pause and skip songs without touching it.......

These griffin earphones are designed for this, I got the normal buds without microphone but they sound great.
