ITNT Capped DSL Feedback

I still love the fact that they advertise "no worry for acceptable usage policies or being forced to share the burden of over usage. It’s the best deal around from R1 per month for the 1st GB! Try the CHEAPEST INTERNET access with Capped Adsl. It is guaranteed every month for as long as you want it! Truly Easy to be Fun" and then at the bottom of the page hey have a link to their aup. Which states "The action that CAPPEDADSL may take includes, but is not limited to, limiting throughput, preventing or limiting service through specific ports or communication protocols, and a complete termination of service to customers with improper or excessive usage."

This was changed from December to September on Monday!
 
I have cancelled my account with immediate effect - getting capped without nearly using the 10GB I signed up for, they not answering nor acknowledging my e-mails, the cancel option in the customer zone throw and error, I used the contact form on the website to sent the message, sent a mail to [email protected] and for the record I'm posting it in this thread.
I’m herewith giving you notice that I am cancelling my account with immediate effect.
The cancel option on your website customer zone gives an error.
The FB page seems not to exist.

These oke's are taking the p!ss ! I bought a 50GB package, which I'm trying to finish before the end of this month. I get this email from them this morning, followed by another ...

Here is your daily ADSL statistics.

Percentage of total used: 34%

Data Downloaded: 16.399 Gb
Data Uploaded: 0.377 Gb

Total: 16.776 Gb

We are kindly informing you that your ADSL account has reached 80% of your allocated monthly bandwidth.

From 34% to 80% ? I understood their maths skills were bad after the epic fail when pricing these products, but really, how is 17GB reaching 80% of 50GB ? I've emailed them about this and still waiting for a reply. Bunch of tossers :mad:
 
Well I think it is safe to assume that all of us will be canceling our accounts with them and we might just make use of the 10GB one.

Dude I'm on 18 out of 100. Got that faking warning as well. Performance of the account is awesome but the isp seems like a Bunch of idiots.

I won't even use them for that, based on their business practice. If I need capped, I'd rather support a company that's been tried and tested.

:mad:I also got a bunch of emails from them yesterday. I left home around midday with 8% usage. between 16:00 and 17:00 I received 3 emails [80%,90%,95%]. When I got home I logged in and checked the stats on their admin page. I had used 38.1GB of 150GB. I figured okay, whatever... and carried on downloading some steam games i didn't have backups of.

I noticed this morning that my ADSL was not working. The account no longer connects and I proved this by switching back to afrihost which is working perfectly.

I phoned iTnT this morning and the guy had no idea, couldn't help.. Took my name and number but I doubt I will hear back from them..

So frustrating as I have only used 38GB and also the fact that you lose the data at the end of THIS month..

I feel pretty cheated...

Disgusting for an ISP to just throw their customers around like that. They came out with a promo to set a new market trend and they just went back on the initial offering and went back even more which makes them look so amateur compared to the likes of Afrihost and WebAfrica.

I will unfortunately have to keep using ITNT. Their capped stuff actually works for me while Afrihost and Webafrica cannot supply me with something I can use, even though it costs much more than ITNT.

I will keep my Webafrica Capped account as well, but it definitely performs worse for me.
 
F#cking knobs ! Now I get an email saying I used 99% of my cap when I have more than 50% left. Called in and moaned because they haven't answered my email from this morning. Waiting to hear back now. Apparently, lots of people have called and complained about this. I assume mostly MyBb members.
