Amazon Prime was the same, just used a VPN. I used HMA, but see some have also recommended UnoTelly, haven't used that one myself, but should be fine (have seen enough recommendations for it).

What's the minimum ADSL speed you need for Hulu,netflix?

I think 2mb does fine, I'v had no problem on Amazon Prime with that speed.

Any websites I can use to "trial" the streaming, I tried Hulu but they want credit card details, Netflix still says nopt avialble in your country and im using Hola Unblocker in Chrome.

I used an SA CC for Prime, wouldn't take my Capitec Mastercard, so just used my SO's Visa, which it was happy with.

I've started the process of swopping over and will cancel DSTV at the end of the month.

A 4mb line streams Netflix perfectly and I use SABnzbd, Sickbeard and Couchpotato to download current series/movies that Netflix doesn't have.

Use my SA Paypal account for Unotelly and my US one for Netflix.

I've cancelled my DSTV about 2 months ago.
I never watch DSTV except for Rugby and paying R700 pm for rugby is a bit much.

Tried Netflix($8 p/m),Hulu($8 p/m) and Sky Go (R330 p/m).

Decided to go with Netflix in the end. It's cheap and the kid love it.
Sky Go offers the most channels(incl Rugby) but my 4meg line is simply not fast enough.

I now watch Rugby via other means.

Hulu is for current, but I find Netflix has more content.

edit: Ooh and do not forget BBC's iplayer(use hola to access) either.

As for lcbxx price question:
Neflix/Hulu = $8 pm each (this explude some movies that you sometimes have to pay extra for)
DSL = your pick of uncaped pricing

Post cord cutting:

Savings: R505 per month.

You can indeed. Prices range from £10 to £40 per month depending on the package you want. ESPN is also available for an additional £13 pm.

Yes, it is one of their options, you pay $75/year, and get unlimited free streaming of most of their content (plus some shipping benefit not really relevant to South Africans, unless you use a service like Postbox-Courier). Note that not everything they have qualifies for Prime, but 99% of the stuff I have looked at does. I also needed to use a VPN, as it would not stream outside the Continental US.

If you have an Amazon account, you can login and get details of what Prime is all about, possibly even without registering.

I am busy playing around with Prime to see what it offers compared to Hulu and Netflix. I can't find a way to use the Hola browser add-in to use prime though (works fine with Netflix and Hulu).
During office hours I work on my dev machine here in my home office and prefer local DNS for this machine. I have UnoTelly setup on my media streamers and TV's but dev machine must remain local. I use the Hola Add-in to get around this, but no Amazon support.

Any idea how to get a script for Hola that supports Prime?
