'iTunes has stopped working error' on Win 7

Anyone else experiencing a similar problem?....I'm running iTunes on my Win 7 laptop and I keep getting an 'iTunes has stopped working error' when I access certain functions like the App store for example. It's really frustrating.

I'm running Windows 7 Enterprise(64-bit), Service Pack 1 and iTunes 12.1.0.71(64-bit)

Yup - close itunes, go to % user%\appdata\roaming\apple computer\ and rename the iTunes folder then start itunes again

My iTunes has also stopped working since my motherboard failed and had new one installed + new i3 processor due to pin compatibility. How do I carry out the procedure recommended by OCP to Juledaniels? Excuse my lack of knowledge.
