Lol, 24 Hours Only is owned and run by Direct Deals. Obviously they're not gonna beat their OWN price. What were you expecting?
 
So I see the KD40EX400 is on sale at Game for R5999. I'm not really in the mood to drive to Game and check it out for myself, but the price isn't bad and if memory serves, the picture wasn't bad either.
So what do you guys think of it? Bad set?
We don't watch sport at all and we don't even have an antenna, so no standard TV broadcast nor DSTV. Will be hooking it up to a Medi8tor (Still need to decide on which media player) and feed it mostly HD stuff.

It's a good TV but I would still recommend plasma - 2" bigger for R1,000 cheaper and your SD content (I assume you have some on your Mede8er) will look better.

Just got the La40c530... What a good buy! Happy happy

DSTV looks el'crappo.. But bluray/DVD upscaling, integrated media, design, colors = amazing!

1 more crap thing, no video out :(
I was hoping it had cause I wanted to stream thru wireless sender/receiver to bedroom.. Anyways, gonna get a little splitter.. Shud sort that 1
 
Ow yea, and it collects dust lol. I'm a clean freak.... BUT, seems when a speck of dust enters house, it goes straight for the LCD

Does el'crappo mean crap? How crappy? I have the same t.v. and just got an hd pvr for it so im curious.

Will be using this setup till I can UPGRADE to a plasma.

Its a good buy, think Game also had similar spec Samsung special for R4999.
Assuming Medi8tor upscales, connect thro HDMI, SD content will be good (better than plasma - probably not).
Just dont use RCA cables on LCD - then it looks crap.

Also Makro has the 50" LG plasma (similar specs to Samsung C430) for R6999. Special ends today.

Well the tv will be used mostly for gaming and movies. Sport as well...I know this is an "entry level 3D" but for the price I think it's worth it. Dion wired played a crappy 3d space demo and they didn't have any other feeds connected. Just wanted to know if you guys have had any first hand experience with this set?
