However please take note this is the entry level model C430. It has only 2 HDMI ports and the USB can only view JPEG and play SONGS. Watch out for the C450 at some shops like Hirsch's @ Centurion or Cats Digital @ Woodmead. These have 3 HDMI ports and can play High Definition DIVX (mkv, avi, wmv, flv etc) as well. What I like about them is that it reads not just USB flash sticks but also external harddrives, SATA & IDE, formatted as FAT32 or NTFS.
The online store warpshop.co.za has the best prices on the new C line of all Samsung 3-8 series, however you have to check with them if they do have stock. They have a depot in Pretoria: http://www.warpshop.co.za/BrowseCat...-TV_b351ac98-831b-4a65-9190-74bad6c1fc6a.aspx
The American equivalent of these models are for example the PN42C450 going for an incredible $578 at the moment: http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-PN42C450-42-Inch-Plasma-Black/dp/tech-data/B0036WT3V6/ref=de_a_smtd
This means with currency conversion we are looking at R4000! However these prices would not drop in our local market before the B line has been sold.
Nevertheless we might see a lot of bargains of the B line of Samsung PS<size>B<model> as the C line is being rolled out.
There are some ridiculous inconsistencies on the LG Plasma prices. The new Razor Frame Plasmas are out, called the PJ series. You can get them at most places like Pick N Pay Hyper and Makro below 7K, however a lot of places have the PQ series being sold for between 7-11K. You would be silly to go for the PQ considering the PJ has 3 000 000 contrast ratio.
