Manual transmissions

Nope you not old school. You still a real man that like to drive the car, feel the pressure of the shifter sliding the car into each gear. Where you control the drive and you drive the car not the car that drive you. You still in control, a real driver.
You don't complain about your leg getting sore because you have to use a clutch in rush hour traffic because your still a man and not an little girl that probably use "man make up". You can still change a tyre fix your own stuff and still know how to do a proper burn out. You probably have an garage full of tools. You the type of guy that can MacGyver fix anything.
If old school means being a man then I am old school. Keep your autobox , seems we have many girls that need them.

"tongue in cheek" please remain calm. I respect all people even those that drive auto.:D:D:D
So women who drive manuals are men. Good to know. What does your wife/gf drive?

Don't think many guys still know how to left foot brake. Or even how heel toe a pedal. Very few guys can really control a car once they switch of all there nanny aid.

Anyone still the days of adjusting the fuel mixture as you drive, or the more recent carburettors that you could tune to be richer or leaner? Or are you keen on nanny aids like fuel injection that does it all for you? ;)

Anyone still remember manual boxes before synchromesh, where you had to double-declutch when you changed gears?

Nanny aid is what takes away from the driving experience. Turn everything off in a F type supercharged V8 and not many people can drive it. Because we lost the ability to drive because we relying on these electronics.

Put a race driver in any car and he will be faster when he controls the car with no electronic aid.

I don't get why the word "queer" can be used but "fag" (just fag) is frowned upon.

I will retract the word queer from my post, my apologies if I offended you (or any of the other gay people).

Wtf. Please don't try that left foot braking stuff on our public roads and kill some innocent people.

I had a golf and corsa without nanny aids. The golf even had a carburettor and zero airbags or abs between the two.

Same, my first 3 cars had no abs or airbags, drove them collectively for almost 10 years. first 2 even still had carbs as well.

First car was a 72 beetle, did not even have a brake booster. What a car. Best car years ever.

My golf only had a handbrake for a short while, no foot brake. And I drove a polo for a few days without a clutch. Hows that for driving without nanny aids.
