Thought I'd give it a try

Sim Type: eSIM - initially the eSIM generation failed, but their helpful staff on WhatsApp was quick to figure it out.

And for those who's been asking about VoLTE & VoWiFi on the Airmobile side? Well can confirm it all works just flawlessly on my current device.

Of course it's fast, there are no FWA restrictions, and it's on MTN, great choice!
 
Since yesterday (Wednesday) I experienced internet outages on my mobile. I am able to make calls, but the data connection is gone. This happens around every 40 minutes or so, and it lasts for about 2 – 3 minutes at a time.

I contacted support and they told me to switch off 5G and switch over to LTE / 4G, and also switch off VoLTE. They asked me to confirm my APN settings. I did all of that but had the same experience today. Anyone else having such issues?

We had the same, eventually I contacted them on WhatsApp and a friendly Sandra suggested we check the APN settings on the iPhone. We found out that the settings somehow changed to MTN and once we changed them back to Melon, everything was fine again

The APN settings are: ws.melon.mvno

I tested Melon Mobile last month on an iPhone. eSIM setup failed once, support fixed it over WhatsApp in about ten minutes. VoLTE and WiFi calling worked right away on AirMobile. 5G speeds were solid in Cape Town, around 300 Mbps on Speedtest. It feels stable so far if those features matter to you.
 
Gave melon a trial for a couple months and ported my main number to them today. Zero complaints in terms of signal or speeds.

Their app also works well and everything from sign up to the Sim swap has been done without dealing with a chat bot or even the lesser spotted human.
