Mweb uncapped 4mbps speed fail.

wait a minute,something just occurred to me,when i was having problems with my ac a dude on mweb told me to download something called DRTCP,after i downloaded it he gave me a number to fill into one of the fields witch i did,it didn't help my connection because of my line but he didn't tell me what it was for.

Choose your connection you are running and change the MTU to 1452.
 
oh ok,if you are running windowsxp you can press alt-ctrl-delete and open the networking tab,you can see if anything else is feeding of your connection.
 
ok,you should prob get a firewall and anti-virus going as soon as you can.make sure your router's firewall is on in the mean time and that your wireless connection is off,if you are using the wireless connection to your router then make sure it is using WPA and not WEP encryption.
 
lol,i don't think i helped much.

the only things i can rule out that might still be wrong is that you PC's network card is slow or your router is slow but if those are not the problem then it's with Mweb,there is a guy on the forum who works for Mweb that might help you.

Think his forum name is Mweb,lol.
