Right now I am not even getting 2KB/s dowloading from news.mweb.co.za. This is not shaping, this is pure denial of service. Please explain MWEB.

Same story here... but on the first few days of the service, I was getting up to 200KB/s
The more and more people who have jumped on this offer, the more and more everyone is getting screwed and MWEB just says
NOTHING

Is the content cached on news.mweb.co.za though? During business hours you will not get full speed if the content is not cached locally, try downloading Supernatural s05e14 and watch it fly down during the day.
All local news servers have this restriction.

The content is definately cached, even the supernatural episode you mentioned does not go above 2KB/s. And it is not a constant download speed, it would download one small piece, then lose connection completely, so the graph in grabit looks something like this /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\,
Its in the virtual server part of the config
actually portforward.com does not work properly for testing with this router, i don't know why

let me remote into my home machine quick and put on a nzb i downloaded last night
hahaha its rather foolish to give the masses a service, label it as unlimited food, and then expect them not to eat as much as they possibly can, MWEB took too many steps too quickly here, and now the food has run out

Still waiting for your official response as to what the time span is for "off-peak" on a daily basis and weekends. As stated before, it's completely random. It only became usable after 24h00 this morning, which is really late for "off-peak". People are also being completely blocked from services like news servers, rapid share and the like during the day, i.e not even shaped or throttled, just complete denial of service. What is your response to this?

There will be some type of growing pains for any service of this magnitude, if your not happy then cancel and go with Afrihost or Vox, its that simple!

Does this not help? I can see no other reason as to why it wouldn't work unless Mweb has hard coded that function off the router, which is very possible (and extremely stupid). Why not give their technical support a call?

Um - Quick question and apolagies if it has been answered - what is happening to the uncapped offerings from Mweb once the lines get upgraded. (Lets say I have a 4MB line now, how will that be affected)

MWEB was quick to respond initially, now that the paw paw hit the fan, why are you so quiet?

Remember that downloaders are NOT the majority of the MWEB network and are not their priority, frankly this will be a win for them even if EVERY SINGLE downloader is unhappy. The remaining non power users will be happy with not having to worry about caps.
It's simple, the downloader traffic or non-prioritized traffic all running on one network is never going to work, we have to spread the load amongst the remaining networks to ensure we all can access what we want at a reasonable speed. Watch as the VOX and Afrihost(IS) guys laugh at us because their network isn't maxed out.
It's simple, we downloaders will cancel our accounts and move to the least subscribed networks naturally, as we get frustrated waiting for media to DL.

There's a big difference between MWeb shaping certain services (i.e throttling so you download at a slower rate) VS completely denying access to those services (can't use it at all). All we want is clarification from their side. Also, they advertise this Uncapped service as:
