Still up the pole. Useless service and getting ready to cancel if it doesnt get sorted by the end of the month. Might as well go back to WebAfrica pay per gig at this rate as it will work out cheaper.

Wonder why some people never actually notice that.... The wow thing is just another in a long line of excuses.
 
Yay 9 hours to finish a 175mb download on a 4meg line. WOW thinks are improving!

maybe you should take off the speed limit ? :erm:

in other news, getting full line speed here in PTA/EAST.
 
Well, somewhere during my 'unattended downloading' my steam download of Black Ops FInished 0.o almost 8 gigs down

Oh yes right, so I guess all the members complaining are just too stupid then? Pffft read a bit then you would see that MWEB was "doing tests" last night but I suppose we are all just making it up.
 
Dear Mweb, I cant get Cachefly podcasts, i can download maybe 3,9 Mb of a 19 Mb podcast and then it stops, the podcast downloads fine on a 3G connection , its Tech News Today 122_ The Hat Of Nigeria.mp3, downloading thru iTunes.

Telkom fixed my line by switching the pair to my home but I can't log into the newsserver, any ideas? Everything else is fine.

Please try renaiming the news server name from News.mweb to 196.28.182.20; please provide feedback once attempted.

Yip 100 KBps max on ~unnamed~. Can't risk naming them like we did with Astraweb. Astraweb max 20 KBps. I swear they are being targetted.
 
I dont get how 196.28.182.20 translates to news.mweb.co.za
Unless you are using your Cape Town IPC DNS server as a NNTP server as well ? cpt-ipcdns-v1.mweb.co.za = 196.28.182.20
Just asking someone to change to that IP, would imply that their (MWEB) DNS is screwed.
news.mweb.co.za translates to 196.28.78.229 on my end.
Please explain that to me

You are correct the IP address for the new server is 168.209.98.66 not as previously advised; honest mistake.

The IP address for the new server is 168.209.98.66 and not as previously advised.
