Hi Everyone
Please be aware that we are running at 50% capacity on our Seacom links due to a cable break up North. engineers are in the process of isolating the fault and will attend as quickly as possible. P2P services will be shaped accordingly - Cape Town customers are unaffected by this.
Apologies for the delayed notice here, the outage was posted through our normal channels and the impact on early morning traffic has been fairly low.
I will update you as soon as we have an ETR.
Kind Regards
Will

You mean dead. Rapidshare and Hotfile Cannot connect.
why must part of the cutomer base suffer? can't all traffic be routerd via SAT3 link? we all must share in the pain!

I've just been notified that the fault has been cleared and engineers are monitoring, shaping should return to normal shortly.
EDIT : It seems that I've underestimated the ingenuity of our network engineers. They are working on implementing a failover route now for future situations like this. This unfortunately means P2P services will take a little while longer to be restored while they get this in place.
