so switch to diffrent download and see if increase, normally i go for 2-3 days old stuff on newshost.

because when nzbsa started mweb still routed to saix for news server, vlad just never bothered to change that part of the website

I use to be able too. until last Tuesday.... around 11pm...

I loved the superior speeds of that server.

Why does the cape Town server have those kind of speeds? I got an IP from support one night when I could not connect..

From the jhb server I downloaded cached content at full speed... The cape Town server... I get the same content at 25k. why I ask?????/

My speed just picked up but not fully so it looks like all they did was lump in nntp with p2p and never bothered to tell anyone

I have been experiencing slow browsing for a few days now. I have tried the call centre for help but can't really seem to get anywhere, so I thought that I would try this forum. Note that I am looking for the internet browsing experience and things like skype to be fine. I am not too worried about bit torrent, etc. I am fine with that being throttled. It was 30-40KBps....now its 0-5KBps....thats a 800% difference....hardly marginally less

With MWEB's attempt to kick Telkom in the balls they can no longer give real local access, all saix local servers (caching or otherwise) come to you through int.

It actually has very little to do with international capacity All traffic has to go through the IPC connections and in order to ensure that there is quality of service on high priority activities we have to restrict the amount of bandwidth available to p2p activities.
This includes, torrents, nntp and one-click hosting services such as Rapidshare. We don't differentiate between the different types of p2p activity and as p2p users contend amongst themselves for this bandwidth speeds will fluctuate based on the current demand.
