MWEB Uncapped Subscribers Feedback

I'll try this again, is there any response on this from MWeb? I think my questions are valid, and don't feel my post was particularly belligerent or aggressive so cannot understand the lack of any response.
If you experience a certain level of service for eight months and there is suddenly a significant change in the consistency of that service, I don't feel it is unreasonable to expect some sort of feedback on what occurred or what is to be expected going forward.
You're not unreasonable are you MWeb?

@Asy1um8

Problems raised regarding p2p speeds always provide a challenge because we know that customers on a shaped product using these services will experience speeds at times that may be lower than what they would like to see. We've always encouraged p2p users to consider their overall monthly usage rather than the speed at a given point in time. Having said that though I am concerned about the symptoms you're describing and while I really can't make any assumptions at this point as to whether or not what you're experiencing is normal, I would like to examine the issue more closely and gather the neccesary data to present to our engineers for comment. If you'd be willing assist me with this then please let me have your preferred contact number in a PM and I'll take it further with you on Monday morning.

Finally. Just remember this, his not the only paying customer experiencing those EXACT problems Will, there are a few of us. Btw you did tell me that its normal and we have 100% the same issue. Also thats before I even said anything nasty so yeh. Hope you guys find a problem so it can be fixed for everyone, good luck.

Please, asy1um or Will keep us updated on the issue, cause this is not just 1 customer experiencing it.

Thanks for the courtesy, I hope it stays that way.

@Will. Things definitely improved today, even during peak times. What is concerning is that come closer to home time all of a sudden the speeds dropped tremendously and stayed like that.

Yeh, im very happy that its being looked at at least and people here can read the post and know its being looked at. Now all I hope and pray for is that it gets treated as a general network issue and not a single user issue.

it did it now again ....wonder what it could be ???never did it when i was on 384 ???maybe the exchange cant handle it or it might be the router ....

That was the mweb server speed I pasted. This morning still slow.Even the P2P dropped.

Seems to me the increase is speed is random, some get it others don't at various times?

Has it occured to anyone from the beginning of this post that all the complaints are the same and all the resolution claims from Mweb are the same. Actually nothing improves, just the customer names are different. Just a thought.

384k line Mweb News Server 1am Friday night 25KB/s, about 2 weeks ago peak time 35KB/s, not complaining just observing.

That is what I get on my 4M account.

@ Will, see no differentiation according to value of accounts. Why do I pay R539 for the same service or rather speed shaping?

Seems to me here is the final solution then? My patience are running a bit thin. All I wish for a a constant and reliable experience.

Solution?????

Speednet test looks OK, but cannot access Mweb Home page using mweb 4 mbs uncapped. Now on Webafrica trial account.

Hi Tony, I have your details so I will have a look into this for you.

Hi Darryn, I am not aware of anything changing on our side. I will investigate this for you.

Hmm weird stuff. I always assumed that when i get half line speed aka 20 kb/s due to shaping on p2p that 4mb users would be shaped to 200kb/s and 1mb users would be shaped to 50kb/s. Like a percentage based thing with regards to account speed, guess that isnt the case.

All in all, i think they did something to make it better these past 2-3 days. I have been having full speed during early evenings now and even today im running at 3/4th line speed on uncached content on mweb news server which is pretty amazing!

I want say i am thankful to Mweb for responding to asy1um's post and for the speeds being much better now, hope it stays decent for most of the months to come.
I always want to thank Will for responding to me again via PM and I respect the fact that he did even if i was a complete ******* :)

Hope you guys get sorted too, will keep a lookout and update a bit later again.
