This is turning into a joke. Torrents *never* running at full speed (yes, I do know to torrent). Uploading apparently shaped 24hrs/day aswell. Streaming is pointless. Other downloads stall/timeout. My account is effectively being capped by MWEB's 'shaping'. Yet another great South African rip-off!!!

My international is now dead in the water. Local is working.

Anyone else having problems?

Yip. I thought the Seacom maintenance was postponed for 2 weeks. Must be something else I guess.

Its almost like being back with TI - capped and on local only

International down too. This seems to be becoming a semi-regular Sunday morning occurrence now. It's at least the 3rd time it's happened to me in the last 2 months.

I'm not getting any tracert's to go va SEACOM. I think its offline, and MWeb have switched to SAT-3, but thats hopelessly overloaded, and the standby bandwidth they were going to get didn't materialise.

Update: At 08h15 some of my pings are going through. Will probably be quite congested for a while...

^^ It says: "This maintenance has been postponed"
Doesn't look like it though, international is completely dead.

Edit: It's back.

'Things to do when your cap runs out' should be changed to things to do when your mweb international goes down on sundays

Ok just for the peeps who's starting to read at the end (coz I know I do it sometimes :) )

I had a 384 and got about 35gb per month on saix. Total cost was R520 pm.

Upgraded to 4mb and mweb uncapped. I did around 7/8gb using SA's News Server. I downloaded at around 100kbps. I got a Astraweb account for R84 (Special = $11 Usual price = $15) amd I'm getting a min speed of 250kbps but certain hours it's running 350 - 400kbps. The last few days I have downloaded around 25GB per day :)
