ANyone else having problems with the Mweb Message Centre application.

It does not load my emails properly.. it just stop loading, I have to refresh a number of times in order to get an email to load, especially when you use the reply function..


all other web pages are fine.

When I use the reply function.. it loads a bit and just says Read: mc2.mweb.co.za.. and just stops.. no traffic going through the router

have been having quite a few disconnects today.

also have bee happening a lot in last 1 or 2 weeks.

but ofc Telkom has yet to return to us with our line query (2 months ago :( )
 
anyone else having issues with Mweb today? I've been waiting for this youtube video (360p) to load now for pretty much 30 minutes, and its only buffered a quarter of the way. Pages seem to take forever to load as well.

Here are my router stats:

Modem Status connected
DownStream Connection Speed 4096 kbps
UpStream Connection Speed 511 kbps
VPI 8
VCI 35

Hi fbman,

There are currently no issues with Message Centre. Are you still getting the "loading" screen?

Why Mweb, why have you destroyed my Grooveshark. It's been unusable for the last 2-3weeks.

also post your snr and line attention(something like that) , those stats dont say much :P

They're shaping everything to death and Grooveshark, like Spotify, probably uses a type of P2P protocol for streaming music. Just another casualty in the war.

Indiscriminate.

We're going backwards in so many ways of late it's a whole new level of fail.
 
Grooveshark is not P2P.

Also shaping would imply something not going at full speed. I have a 4mbps line, I don't need full speed to stream music, I only need 10% of my line speed, yet it's so handicapped it takes me 10mins to download a 3min song. That's not shaping, that's just broken.
 
Connection dropped again today. Nonsense.... whole day wasted. Odd how it doesn't do that at night.

Hi Adrenalin,

I have checked on our side and there was no dropped connection on our system. I would advise testing your connection with another router, in order to see if you get a dropped connection on that router.

37 hours estimate to download 1.16GB worth of Apple OS X updates.

Free the web my ass....
 
pity to see so many guys having problems, my connection has never been better, haven't really had issues since the last big upgrade and my torrents run full speed after 12, they usually slow to 100-200 during the day, p2p running at 170 all day today for example, have actually been impressed with the peak hour speed lately considering its a shaped product

Just switched over to my free Afrihost account and it was truly like "free the web". Everything was super fast. Youtube no buffering at 720p. NNTP downloads full speed. Torrents flying.

Switched back to Mweb. The torture. Is back. Handcuff the web.
 
3 months worth of continuous problems with mweb. thats like 1/4 of a year. lmao

18 days to go, odds are mweb screw up my billing.

Please explain what is slow, is it browsing in general, downloads, video?

How about "EVERYTHING"? I relegated myself back to a old and dilapidated Telkom dial-up consumer, check e-mails, browse, check a U-tube buffering, Facebook, visit MyBB and lagged gaming as that is the type consumers Mweb wants and caters for for R539.00/month.
Not including the 4M adsl Telkom line costs.

Why do I suddenly feel screwed and raped in the rear?
