I've tried Afrihost, Axxess and Mweb throughout this month, switching between accounts to give them all a fair chance. My conclusion, and this probably won't come as a shock to anyone, is that Mweb is the clear winner. They are like tiny bit more expensive, but they actually deliver the goods and quality of service.
Afrihost throttles the heck out of you. That's all you need to know really, once you hit what seems to be an ever changing (but unreasonably LOW) threshold, your wings will be clipped.
Axxess, seems to have serious capacity issues, I wasn't at any point using Axxess able to reach 400kb/s across any protocol. Latency, especially international was very unreliably, terrible spiking.
Mweb. Definitely shape torrents, news and rapidshare etc., but you will get 400kb/s on services that aren't among the primary engines of piracy. Even the services that are low priority get up to the full 400kb/s after hours. One thing I found very impressive, was that for gaming (tested with World of Warcraft international, Heroes of Newerth international, Bad Company 2 international/local etc.), the Mweb account was on par with an unshaped account with a 260ms latency to Europe and not just in a pingtest, ingame, no spiking. This is an area where Afrihost and Axxess just couldn't compete at all (not like they could really compete in any other area).
Basically, Mweb's uncapped offering is the real thing and the best all round uncapped offer at the moment. If torrents/news/rapidshare is all your concerned with, then you'll likely be happier with an Axxess Express+ account, but if you want an account that does everything and at a very good price, go Mweb.
