It after hours
Hi hereticangel
That is correct.
There is traffic flowing between our respective networks, but the nature of this relationship is governed by an Non-Disclosure Agreement so we cannot give more details than that at this stage.

Shaping should not take place after hours, it is only during business hours when priority is given to business account user's traffic.
Currently filesonic is dead and this is unacceptable. I want solutions, not answers.
So why don't torrents run at full speed after hours? If they're only supposed to be shaped during hours?
Nope, the account is shaped 24/7. Speed depends on load or peak time.
Shaping I do not have a problem with - blocking I have a major problem with. Right now I cannot download anything from filesonic and that means blocking. Torrents are 50kb/s at the moment which is very acceptable considering it is shaped, so as you can see I am not being unreasonable here. That's my understanding as well - which Roux seems to have missed.

I would expect no shaping to take place.
What exactly?Just saying.
What exactly?
No shaping takes place between midnight and 8am if I am not mistaken, and there really is no reason to shape traffic at those times.
Nope, the account is shaped 24/7. Speed depends on load or peak time.
The point I am trying to make is blocking should not take place on a contact that is being marketed as uncapped shaped. If they want to block certain sites then it should be marketed as uncapped with blocking.
Or don't you agree with that either?
Shaping does not bother me, and at times after hours they do not shape any traffic as far as I can see - or at least that was the case a month or so ago. Back then you got full speed on torrents and file hosts after hours. But whether they shape (and to what degree) after hours does not bother me since it is clearly marketed as a shaped product.
As you said, shaping and blocking are entirely different and I want to know why they block file hosts at times.
Another thing I want to know is why after this weekends upgrades is file host downloads still so crap?
Will@Mweb said it would be better after the upgrades but it clearly is not.
Traffic from MWeb (CT) to Telkom, which was running extremely well on Sunday (direct-peering), is now dog-slow (Monday morning).
