Fair point, sorry for raging. I wouldn't give up just yet, the rep here has put me in touch with some fantastic people in CT who had my problems sorted in a jiffy. And they called me. So big bonus. Cheers.

And: my torrents are being shaped to 15KB/s, which equates to 3.75% of my total line speed. Surely thats not shaping, but killing?
 
Someone mentioned ways of getting your full line speed with downloads on these uncapped accounts that they did not feel could/should be discussed openly in these threads.... would that person mind PMing me details? ;)

Despite the maintenance the line was going full speed 440KB/sec today. Good work MWEB. MWEB is the best. LOL. :)
 
I have never seen full line speed downloading anything from places other than rapidshare. Usually around the 200k mark. Only time I saw 400+ was at 3am from rapidshare. How's that for irony? :P I'm happy'ish though since I do not have to worry about hitting a cap sometime.
 
Gees, these maintenance issues are really taking their toll... I've been trying to download a 54MB PDF from JSTOR, timeout constantly. What a mare, seems my productivity is crawling along with SAT3/SAFE. The tracert looks likes a dogs breakfast too...
