Has anything been upgraded regards the news server? Because it seems to have much better retention the past 2 days or so ....... before I would get max 30kbps on an article 140 days old, now I'm getting 250kbps and up on articles older than that even :D

You jinxed it :( My connection has been running like a dream (more or less) for a while, connection to the news servers are down again...

On 4mb uncapped, and was starting to think yesterday maybe I should move to OpenWeb Uncapped Gold because of 50kb/s download speeds the last 2 days. But today/tonight its flying again at full speed. :)

Just wanted to say WELL DONE Mweb :) 1 year of uncapped goodness. You guys are true leaders of the industry (TOTAL 563424.39 3143052.15 3706476.54 ) One year and I did almost 4TB of just torrents, no bypassing or anything. So I say well done and keep it up.

Your line must be a freak of nature, fastest torrents have ever been for me is 10KBps

Wow, that was not my experience with a shaped account, not even close.
 
Wow.. I cant believe that its been one year already... I have managed 2 588 499.66 (2.5 TB) so far in one year on my shaped 4 Meg line.

I am over all happy with my internet... yes there have been some up and downs... where I did moan and swear at mweb.. for slow speeds... but overall the expierence was good.

And no I have never bypassed any of the shaping rules.

Hi guys,

This morning, my router keeps disconnecting from the Internet every 15-20 minutes (Internet LED - RED). When that happens, I have to reset it manually to fix the problem temporarily. Is my router need to be replaced with a new one? I bought it from MWEB last year September. It's a Billion W40 router.

Hi Kitty09,

I had a look at your line, line readings are fine. I have re-authenticated your account, please power down for 20-30 minutes. This is just a power down, not a reset.

If possible, please test another account on your router to see if that also disconnects?

2.5TB ~ 2560GB. A booster costs R99 for 1.5GB (at least it did when I was still on capped this time last year). You would need ~1700 boosters for 2.5TB. This is ~R170,000. Over one year this means ~R14000 per month :D
 
I have been pretty happy with my 384 MWEB uncapped since I got it.. its been a few months.
Yes sometimes it gets shaped alot and the new servers are also slow sometimes.
But who cares, it is uncapped :)

Skype, RDP and browsing which is important to most people gets good speeds.
