hello mweb, do you guys think there will be more fees for the midrange uncapped now that telkom is boosting 512kps to 1mb?

aka will 512k uncapped package get free upgrade to 1mb package :P

Uh, they said their top executives still have to sign that off... how long do you suppose that will take??? :whistle:
 
Anyone having any problems atm? My internet seems to be on and off for the last hour. Router is sincs fine, have even restarted it but mweb keeps disconnecting.
 
Signed up 2 weeks ago.. Haven't had any problems from the ISP side.. Infact Connection is more stable now... Had Telkom Issues though... Exchange where hit by a Massive Lighting strike, and line was down for almost a week..
hehe I saw the Telkom Bakkies 24/7 in the area this week, all standing at the Road Side Connection boxes, busy fixing All the lines in the area..
 
Our exchange died last month due to lightning, took a week for them to fix it. Internet is still d/c every few mins. Not sure where the problem is, everything is fine on my side. Who do I contact, mweb or telkom?

If MWEB is paying your line, then MWEB. Else Telkom. It might be productive to check your line with another account if you can borrow one from a friend or buy a cheap temporary account.

internet seems to be stable today, but speeds are very slow. Router still sincs at 4m. My "backup" account has reached it's cap, will see if I can test it later today.
 
Yeah, my connection is VERY slow atm.. and a few international sites aren't resolving for me at all...

Dear Mweb the last four days Ive been having problems uploading to youtube, its close to impossible as the line "Automatically disconnects" after a few hours if you try and upload to youtube, but if I were lets say downloading files it would stay connected for days, it only seems to disconnect when Im UPLOADING SOMETHING....

Can you please look into this?

PS The file is a 800mb 720p 20 minute long video I made for my blog.

Please verify if you are running any concurrent traffic and is this the only problem you are encountering at the moment?

Ive tried uploading when there's no other connections or traffic by isolating the other PC's on the network, so only the PC thats uploading is connected to the internet , and ran a network monitor to ensure that the only inbound/outbound traffic was to youtube, and it seems to do the same.

This morning I am retrying it while connected to a Newsgroup, in hope that the incoming traffic might keep the line alive.

This is the only problem Im having, the line seems fine.
