Trust me you don't want to play Starcraft 2. Every 5 seconds the game locks up for a second. Strangely enough it only happens while connected to MWEB.

At least my youtube ping is longer 900ms.

I've been struggling to download a LEGIT HTTP 13mb file. Its timed out twice and is now downloading at 2kb, where it stops and resumes. Can't download the file via my backup Telkom account, since I've had to use it the entire month, since Mweb has been giving me hell...

Bought a Axxes 1GB Prepaid and the 13mb file finished in a minute.

I hate having to complain, but Mweb you really make it hard for us...

The HTTP and P2P speeds picked up over the weekend but now I'm stuck with 30 KB/s on HTTP again...

I'm on the 4MB package with MWEB and I live in Centurion. MWEB, why does it only perform on weekends now? I thought HTTP wasn't throttled?

HTTP very slow, NNTP going at a wopping 2kb/s when it connects, it connects like once a hour for about 5 minutes. Aggressive shaping is aggressive....
Even opening this page took me about 40 seconds... Will, Mweb Guy? Care to explain?

Hi Sillicur,

There are no reported issues with the new server at the moment. Please keep me updated with regards to this.

Regards,
MWEB Guy

I cant help but comment, if you read the posts going on there has to be a serious persistent problem with Mweb's product... the tone of all the posts are negative - I have also been having a bad experience and so have switched to openweb gold - hopefully it performs better

Same problem. NNTP dead. I can't even access the MWeb news server. This has been going on for days.

Mweb Guy, this seems like another report on the news server issue...
Cause if the server is up, then there is something wrong with my account that needs fixing.

Same here. 4meg uncapped account, and nntp trafic is standing at 0.00. It works fine on my Afrihost account.

installed a client and stuff to test this nzb thing, with the mweb news server, getting full speed on some anime here,
is your stuff cached right ?

what i wanted to say as well, i normally just swap stuff around in the q, if i get bad speeds on something

Yeh guys i have come to terms with Mweb's aggressive new shaping policies during the day, but 0.0kb/s isnt shaping, its completely cutting off NNTP.

Vaal, its completely dead. The stuff is cached. It was going at 38kb/s at 9am. It has now completely and totally stopped working. Probably the CPT side cause PE goes through that side.
Maybe mweb just fixed your account cause you were threatening them with a petition or w/e. Guess thats what we needa do to get our accounts fixed.

Update: At 5:05 still nothing, connected to the IS server with the afrihost free gig and instant max speed on the same download. So no, its not a user, program, telkom error. Its completely an Mweb account issue. There, now we dont have to go through the whole assumption that it might be a user error. Also, just to make sure its cached content, i tried downloading a file i downloaded this morning, which i know is cached. 0.0kb/s with that too. So, wtf is going on?
