I have 10MB.

On my SAIX account, I can get full 10MB.
On my MWEB account, I can only get 4MB.

Actually, let's be honest - for the last what... 2 weeks, I feel like I should've contacted Telkom and asked them to downgrade my ADSL to 56k so I can keep it in par with the service MWEB is giving me!

Hi..How long did it take from the time you applied till the upgrade for interest sakes?

Hi marlinwebster

Please play the test video and provide me with screen shots of the measured performance (the window that overlays the video), you can check the different resolutions as well and I will provide the feedback to our networks team.

Well I’ll just hop on this as I’ve not yet received a response.

4mb line, Pretoria, Moreleta Park.

It has been like this for two weeks, and it doesn't matter what time of day. Nothing is wrong with my line. Steam pumps out 420kbps. But EVERY http protocol I use is hovering in DIAL UP territory.

Looking at all the responses, it baffles the mind that no one wants to admit something is up.

Signed up for Web Africa 3gb free trial. Now I can watch the live streams that I used to enjoy on my 4meg Mweb account. Waited to see if the new month brought with it new speed. It didn't.

I see will@mweb is telling people how much data they have used this for May. Please sir do tell me how much I have used, and then use that in an argument to justify why i am getting dial-up speeds from 8am to midnight. I bet I haven't even used 50gig.

I will take your silence as an admission of guilt that you are in fact shaping http and youtube and other video streaming.

@#$%ers

amen Pabzilla , looks like I will need to sign up with web africa to continue watching my live streams.

Getting wonderful speeds today! Really I'm impressed that my 4meg line can achieve these miraculous speeds on the speedtest site that mweb tech support asked me to use. /sarcasm.

Last Result:
Download Speed: 518 kbps (64.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 389 kbps (48.6 KB/sec transfer rate)

(using http://speedtest.neotel.co.za/)

On the up side uploading flies...Seriously share ratios on torrents are hitting 2.00+ now.

My p2p speed has been great for a week or 2 now. I think that can affect the http speeds. been getting 250KB/s during the day. I would say please check the shaping. I think the p2p has been set to less shaping and affecting the http etc speeds now. even during 8pm I can download at 450KB/s on Torrents.

My package has been upgraded and I'm getting good speeds. Maybe a change from the norm on this thread but I'm happy with the service I've received so far with MWEB. The line upgrade is complete and the package upgrade from Mweb was done today as Mweb Guy said it would. Latency on WoW is on 240-250ms without WTFast proxy service and sub 200ms with WTFast. Don't know if that's good in South Africa i always play for Germany but i think it is.

I'm in Cape Town and it seems there's less issues in the Southern Suburbs then Northern. Maybe I'm wrong so please correct me. And that most of these are from 4mbps customers nationally and much less from 512(1mbps) and 386kbps clients.

P2P is good and I'm getting my line speed so yippy for me and  you Mweb!!! So please don't go and break my heart *sniff sniff* I'll never be able to trust agian :)

YOUTUBE.....christ almighty.. FIX THE **** ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
