The SSL option is what screws them over - it shows that it is working - so take off the shaping or WHATEVER they are doing - things will work.

Why they continue to deny it is beyond me... I think MWEB need to adopt the "Honesty is the best policy" routine and stop trying to BS people.
 
Mine's working fine, had some slow speeds yesterday for a while, but now my http downloads are back up to over 100KB/s on a 1meg... Something is definitely going on with Mweb, but luckily it's not affecting me.
 
My speeds are slowing down again (only getting now about 15k from mweb news and around 15kb from astraweb.) on my 4 Meg line

Buffers for me as well. Thought I was paying over a grand on internet so I could have "fast" 4Meg. Guess I was wrong...

Has anyone tried the Speed Test listed at the top of the browser from Mybroadband?

Here are the result that I got:

South African:
Download Speed: 0.13Mbps
Upload Speed: 0.6Mbps
Ping: 639ms

International:
Download Speed: 0.8Mbps
Upload Speed: 0.3Mbps
Ping: 4945ms

I did the test a total of 7 times on Chrome and IE9. These were sadly the best results out of the 14 times that I tried.

Plays but only since youtube auto adjusts quality to the speed of your line. It's not even 240p. The pixels are the size of my thumb and the audio frequently goes out of sync.

Tried gt, ign, game spot and youtube. All of then are crap, buffer constantly. Thanks mweb for this crap service, ill be looking at some other ISP options.
 
Why do they have do this to me NOW, it's the one time of the year I watch live stream on the web and now I can't go more than 5s without it buffering.

ARRRRRRGGGGG!!!!!!
 
Must say I haven't had any problems with MWEB at all, I'm downloading at stable speeds, accessing sites fast with no problems. Looks like many people on the 1mb line doesn't have much problems
 
i watched the whole xbox 360 presentation on mweb, cos im badass and enjoy giving myself headaches
