Because it's hellishly uncomfortable and you'll probably kill yourself.

But at least you've ridden before.

Keep an eye on these guys, their included warranty and final cost stuff looks really solid.

Also having stood for two years....and then started up means there's a **** load of sludge in there and the tyres are probably knackered too.

Thanks bud. Okay, Suzuki GSR600R could be better then? More upright etc.

It's a little bit detuned and yeah probably a better option.

But why not the Honda NC750 en klaar? (on their website).

Also that can't be a 2005, those only came out in 2006. Unless it was literally a December special.

I do like the NC.

Oke they are like 4km from my house so I guess I'll just go there tomorrow. After replacing my clutch on my current bike :cry:

Yeah I know it's a bit more expensive but it also just uses 3.5l/100km so you'll make that up.

Also the "frunk" will make your day to day life so much easier.

And with their 2 year warranty and trade-in buy back, new tyres etc deal you can't lose.
 
I am actually keen to ride the new one. I used one for a bit at my previous job and like it, but it wasn't in great shape and that probably tainted the experience for me.

Not for sale as they don't want it. The owner is not forthcoming about the damage and hasn't collected it in over 2 weeks. He was asking 90k but if I get his details then I'll make a counteroffer as they frame has to be x rayed and some parts need to be fixed. (Zoom in on the pick and see the front end damage

Nah that's aftermarket.

But the Scrambler version now comes with something almost like that but not as hardcore.

More like "light gravel" mode.
 
Dunno how accurate that last consumption figure is. I think the tank may have been overfilled, I've done 90km and the gauge hasn't moved yet....

Traffic back to full chaos today, really felt the difference having a bike for the first time. At least half the commute was at a standstill, still only took 15 minutes. Love it!

Filled up this morning.

9.829L doing 238.9km gives me 4.11L/100KM or 24.31KM/L

Traffic also bad this morning, so gave it a little easy ride it, trying to keep the fuel efficiency as low as possible, bike reported 3.6L/100KM when I got to work, doing just over 20KM. :D

But that said, I was going so slowly at times that my watch said (after arriving at work) I had a good 20min cycle :D

Indeed not. That happened to my sister once. Bought a GSX-R600 from a friend of a friend, had it for an hour, riding home (wasn't her first bike), when she turned left into a fairly busy street and as she accelerated, the rear wheel twisted in the swingarm and locked up. Bike was a write-off and she had some nasty road rash. Luckily made it out alive and nothing broken.

Some fuel gauges start changing from half a tank.
