But on the manual you need to slip the clutch a bit to modulate speed. On the dct it's all in the brake.

That's what I'm saying you should actually need to.

1st gear, clutch out and manage it on the rear brake if it's too fast.

Takes some practice, but it can (and should) be done.

Check the taxis...and William Nicol early mornings have morons speeding at 100km/h...all running away from the traffic that's coming at 6:00.

Went down athol, then william nicol, then sandton drive. Left home 6:45, in the parking lot at work at 7. What a pleasure.

How much time you saving?
When I stayed further from the office I went from 30-90min (traffic varied hugely on the route) down to a guaranteed 20min

Probably saved about 20 minutes to half an hour. What's more compelling is the +- R3.50 per km on the car, vs less than R1 on the bike ;)

I found another Virago for sale yesterday.

now I just need to get the money somehow to buy this one. so I can fix mine, or put my front tyre on this one. not sure what way around I am going to go yet.
most likely use the new one (my licence was up for renewal while it was in the shop and I forgot, its been 2 months since it expired.
