Lots of DTCs on the gearbox. Hopefully just some dodgy connectors.

Sorry these BMW designations get confusing, just checked now and it is the 1000XR and not the 1200XR (totally different bike).

Ok. Didn't know that. Is it the standard Obd connector?

Or one of the other adapters? Am asking is because we have used obd2 vehicle trackers for some years now. Motorbikes have typically been a lot more difficult
 
Mine is not a standard obd connector. Some Honda specific 4 pin plug, sadly.

sorry about the late response. Have done all my bikes at DEKRA - relatively painless process. Make sure that all the electrics (lights, indicators, hooter) work fine. Tyres need to be decent. They usually start the bike up and do a quick walk around it checking everything. Oddly enough the guy was more eager to ride the CBX250 than he was to ride the Harley. You will need ID/Drivers and copy of the registration papers

I read OBD as on board diagnostics, not in reference to a specific connector. The connectors in my experience are pretty much brand specific. That may have changed with the latest round of EU emissions, but I haven't looked bikes at any recently
 
Just picked me up an Airoh Movement Helmet (marked down from R3,999 to R2,400) and a some Spirit Virus gloves (marked down to R840). Now I just need that whatchamacallit... that thingamajig... that doohickey... Oh yes, a bike! :o

Thanks! I passed.

Out of a group of 25 - 8 didn't make it. This includes all though, motorcycle/LMV and HMV.

Lengthy process though. Thought the fact that it's computer driven would make it faster. Turns out it doesn't really.

Whatever though, now the search really begins. I have my eye on 2/3 very nice F800GS's :)

It is a canbus bike, just a weird connector. 10400 baud rate (also weird and non standard), can interface to a Pi if you're so inclined
