Lengthy process though. Thought the fact that it's computer driven would make it faster. Turns out it doesn't really.

Whatever though, now the search really begins. I have my eye on 2/3 very nice F800GS's :)

For even more visibility I use the pulse setting. more visible than a light is a flashing light, did you use the reflector stickers that came in the box?

On a different note, I had my first side stand incident this morning. Got off the bike and thought why is this darn thing leaning so much? I don't remember jacking up the suspension... oh wait, I didn't put the stand out did I... nope, too far too rescue this, abandon ship... One perfectly executed somersault later I can only laugh at myself. Usually muscle memory kicks in and the stand goes out automatically, but not today for some reason. I don't even remember what I was so deep in thought about! Good thing I've got an adventure bike, no damage at all. It's also a lot easier to pick up on solid ground, vs my usual sandy dismounts :p

Good argument for killing the engine with the side stand.

I guess you gona be working late today... It could be worse, my bikes in the shop I'm gona be sitting bored in rain traffic, with the other traffic making car people.

One of my team has offered me a ride home. I think I'll take the offer, then just uber in tomorrow to fetch the bike.

It's still hosing down in sandton. Roads are soaked. It's gonna be mayhem

well it pissing down earlier, but I just got home .... bone dry.

I did see why a certain stretch of road has caused me some wheel spins in the past... for probably about 1-2km, I was literally riding on a rainbow :eek: it seemed like an oil tanker overturned nearby!

William nicol by any chance? William nicol - highway to kingfisher - is super slippery In the wet.
 
Where are cheap places to get bike gear in CPT? I need to get wet clothing stuff and also waste money on other accessories.

You tell me. I'm SOAKED!!! well.... my shoes are and the bottom of my pants... in desperate need of some proper bike shoes. norravok will I tie a checkers bag around my feet
 
I got some spirit boots from bikers warehouse near Northgate. Not too expensive and waterproof.

I'm thinking of at least getting some cheap 2nd hand ones from cash crusaders, just to tie me over until I can get a decent pair.... farkin' things so expensive and my zack levels low AF.
