only 19 fuel ups in 16months?

My bike uses more fuel than my company car, especially if driven... Enthusiastically. And I have to pay for that fuel unlike for the company car.

I still take the bike to work every chance I get

fuel! I'm getting around 6.7l/100km, but enjoy every second of it

Anyone know if Scorpion helmets are sold anywhere in the CT area? Motorcycleworld seems to be clearing out stock (have been for a while).

Finance finally finished. I'll be picking up my motorcycle this afternoon :) Now the counting of hours start...

So I tested all the helmets at motorcycle world, only the Airoh S5 is close to a decent fit, probably an 85% match. The rest are simply the wrong size, or my chin contacts the helmet which I thought was strange given that most adventure helmets look like they have plenty of chin space.

I almost went to tracmac but the only untested helmets they have are way outside my wallets league, so decided against it.

And to make the decision a bit less clear, the the S5 has no top airvents (which I have used sometimes on my current helmet) and the internal sun visor just just touched my nose if the helmet isn't positioned right. Could be annoying off-road, but maybe I can jimmy the mechanism so that the visor doesn't go all the way down

You are welcome, it's a great helmet. I think I'm going to have to go back and buy another helmet as well.

Don't buy a shark skwal helmet if you have an upright riding position!! I wish I knew this before spending 3K!! There is constant wind on my face which was fine in summer but has given me a sore throat with the recent cold weather. If I crouch over like a sport bike position it's perfect, no wind at all. I guess helmets are designed for riding positions..?

Let me know how the Airoh S5 works.

I have a Shark D-Skwal and I have no idea what you mean with "wind on my face", when I close my helmet it shuts off so much of the wind noise...

The noise is not bad, it's the icy morning wind that swirls around in front of my face when I ride that's the problem. iv tried holding my head in different positions but it's only when I lean over the tank like I'm on a super bike that all is calm inside the helmet - wind and noise totally disappears. Very frustrating considering the price.

get yourself a buff for cold days? The air circulation would imho be great for preventing fog

Did you try closing the chin vent?

Weird, it was quite cool this morning and I didn't have the same problem, where I did an almost 50km stretch on the highway.
