NeoConnect pricing details

Neotel claim the contracts have an exit clause whereby you buy he modem and you are out(about R2k for the modem). They will also automatically improve the contracts over time.

It is sad that is still very expensive similar other providers and it is not making big different price so far. It is not only for Internet but add voice, sms, blah, blah, blah, etc.

I'm sorry I have to disagree, I pay R185 cybersmart 512k + Telkom ADSL and Line rental of R361 = total of R546
So now you trying to tell me that for about 188Kbps extra speed (remember they said an average of 700Kbps forget about 2.4mbps) and 2 gigs extra, I save a whole R46....PLEASE, they could have done a little better!

you are looking at one package. look at the broader picture.

I'm impressed, if you consider we pay about 1k for 5 gig atm through vodacom.

Just can't seem to find anything about when they're gonna be in my area on the website.

Hope its not to long :p

PPPOE? Can you use any ISP with this Neotel? I need PPPOE as we have more than one Internet user at home and would like to avoid conflicts of who has to pay what and I don't have the money to buy special routers.

Been looking for candy & not finding anything out of the current S.A box.
eg like uploads not counted against the plan or some sort of data rollover

NeoConnect Terms and Conditions
Terms and conditions apply to all offers. All prices include VAT. You will be charged for the volume of data sent and received, and not the time you spend connected. Unused contract, Month-to-Month and Once Off bundled data expires at month end. Bundles do not carry over. Once you have used your bundle, the applicable out of bundle rate will apply. The out of bundle rates apply once the data bundle is exceeded. SMS messages are charged in accordance with prevailing tariff plan. Data transfer speeds are not guaranteed and are dependent on network availability and utilization. Out of bundle pricing is rounded up to the nearest cent.

Don't see anything about local/international split on the plans,
So comparing it to a new fixed line ADSL plan maybe its good.
For 3G users that already have spent money & have our own device i don't see no carrot

I'd like to know more about this 2k phone. Will it be obsolete in 6 months etc..

Then this service isn't for you. Wait for the WiMax/DSL offerings without the phone and free minutes etc.

I mean because atm they only offer USB and Neotel is your only ISP.

That might be true, but all I am saying is that they could have tried harder to differentiate the product and give people more incentive to move over to them. Afterall, how many people in this country can afford even R399 for internet access, nevermind R1 000.

they are not looking after the entry level guy. Most people i know want 1gig max and a phone. R100-R120 will work for me. i do not care about the speed. If i deal like that comes up i am in. Plus they make money on calls
i do not think they ate hearing what we are saying

All yu guys that are complaining are ****tards.

Plain and simple.

15gb @ 2.4Mbs for R699!!!! like wow!

Also it's unshaped.

Uncapped @2.4Mbs for R999

and it's unshaped!!!

I think this is a great step forward.

And to you people who say it would be cheaper without the free minutes please catch a wake up.

Those free minutes are there because it costs almost nothing to neotel. It's all over ip which means 0 cost to neotel wg\hich means it doesn't increase the cost of the package.

**** people. WAKE UP. We are in AFRICA. They have some great packages.

Coverage may be an issue now, but not in the future.

They don't have contracts for the billionth time!!!

You can cancel your service at any time. You are liable for the cost of the hardware @R80p/m.

I'm VERY pleasantly surprised about they are offering.

Now it's just not on principal that I will change to them. But because they have great packages.

the Uncapped option R999 very VERY nice! - but i still don't like the fact that i can't use ethernet + the 24 month contract.

I can't sign up for this cause its not available here yet, but... i'll be glad to sit back and watch the price war unfold!!!!!!! ;)

RPM - can you find out about the usuage allowances on the uncapped - p2p/unshaped etc?
