I just called them on that 0800 000 636 number... I love the interesting facts

Much better than Telkom's mindless slit-your-wrists music. I can't help imagining that poor woman reading all those facts over and over and over again... Accidentally mispronouncing or having a tongue twister and having to repeat hahaha... I might just call that number again later to listen to those facts again. Did you know that if MySpace was a country, it would be the 8th largest country in the world? Or that back in the day they tied wire to rats to feed the wire through something-or-other (I really wish I was paying more attention to that specific fact) - if anyone knows, mind telling me the rest?
I was really amazed at their service! I spoke to a wonderful guy named Kevin and I was laughing my backside off while talking with him. My cell hasn't been the most functional of devices lately, so we had some trouble communicating, but it went incredibly smoothly and he was incredibly patient with me.
He said that his system claims that I don't have coverage in my area - which I'm mildly sceptical about since I live right across from the Tyger Valley mall in Bellville - about a road away from their head office here. So maybe my spot is just not listed yet? I don't exactly have the most understandable of addresses

Anyway, I told him that I'm prepared to accept anything that they can offer me, regardless of whether I appear on their coverage map because I'm pretty sure that I should be covered, if not this month, then next month. He said his shift ends at 17:00 today and that he'll ask his supervisor and then get in contact with me later.
I have to say that I'm
really wowed by how amazing he was. I originally spoke to someone from the 0800 000 636 number, when they told me that they'll put me through to 0800 333 636 - apparently that's the number for their clients and new applications - he was also really helpful. I barely waited 20 seconds before someone took my call. I'm sorry, but that really impresses me. I remember waiting 6 hours for Telkom's technical support desk to take my call one morning between 02:00 and 08:00 when my ADSL line decided to backflip. I gave up and went to bed only to get up at 10:00 to find it MAGICALLY working again. On average, my holding time with Telkom was 20 minutes.
Neotel, Kevin - THANK YOU. I haven't been this wowed by service in South Africa since... Jeez... ever. I take my hat off to you guys and I haven't even paid you a cent yet!

Keep it up!
I'm
so frikkin' excited!
