Neotel Info

Not to pound on my chest and scream captian obvious but keep in mind this is an imaginary product! It doesn't exist...... yet
Everything is a rumour and reminds me of all that Paris Hilton/Lindsey Lohan garbage

So thers no info on capping even less on shaping and what info ppl have reported contradict to what others report.
Its all just a figment of ur imagination and u'll wake up soon to the fresh smell of Telscumm in the morning! ;)

enjoy!

Kamehameha's Vegeta! :D

Lets keep an open mind here :D
They certainly can't turn out to be another Telscum! *prays*

S&B agrees with TB that SWF is wrong about CDMA being the same as WCDMA. TB says that WCDMA is more commonly know as UMTS which is MTN and VC's 3G offering. Meanwhile CT is waiting for JHB and PTA to test CDMA can hit Mbps to make sure it's not as slow as GSM and everyone agrees the uncapped is FTW but is really 1GB. The T&Cs might hide bad QOS.

Ok, everyone following that?

Post like these scare people off.

Lets wait and see what they have to say when the launch around the cap size issue. They won't pull a Vodacom with their Wifi stunt I am sure.

well i think we can all agree that with the sat 3 "limitation" we don't mind being capped, just as long as the caps are fair. Eg atleast 10 to 20 gigs of international.

When seacom comes, well then we should expect nothing less than full uncapped, or atleast a cap of a 100 gigs.

Personally i dont believe anything said about neotel. I firmly believe that they havent actually put any cabling into the ground and just put neotel drain covers all around the show, also they just put those orange neotel boxes all over the place to fool everyone. I believe that neotel only has 1 employee and hes a 16year old future billionare and drives a TATA.
Hes actually trying to build a company that he can sell for billions and the sole purpose of this company is to pose as a real company but in reality they are only in the business of future products & services that is infact their real product a future product. The product will forever remain in the future and launch dates will forever be iminent. Its all a big conspiricy and i have the inside info

UR ALL A BUNCH OF FOOLS

Are the upload and download speeds the same? What are the chances of a fixed IP address?

LOLEL!!!!
How'd that get done?

Eish, I'm not liking the capping issue and I'm a little annoyed that nobody mentioned it. Lemme see if I can also get confirmation/denial again :D

Wouldn't that be fun?

I just called them on that 0800 000 636 number... I love the interesting facts :p Much better than Telkom's mindless slit-your-wrists music. I can't help imagining that poor woman reading all those facts over and over and over again... Accidentally mispronouncing or having a tongue twister and having to repeat hahaha... I might just call that number again later to listen to those facts again. Did you know that if MySpace was a country, it would be the 8th largest country in the world? Or that back in the day they tied wire to rats to feed the wire through something-or-other (I really wish I was paying more attention to that specific fact) - if anyone knows, mind telling me the rest? :p

I was really amazed at their service! I spoke to a wonderful guy named Kevin and I was laughing my backside off while talking with him. My cell hasn't been the most functional of devices lately, so we had some trouble communicating, but it went incredibly smoothly and he was incredibly patient with me.

He said that his system claims that I don't have coverage in my area - which I'm mildly sceptical about since I live right across from the Tyger Valley mall in Bellville - about a road away from their head office here. So maybe my spot is just not listed yet? I don't exactly have the most understandable of addresses :p Anyway, I told him that I'm prepared to accept anything that they can offer me, regardless of whether I appear on their coverage map because I'm pretty sure that I should be covered, if not this month, then next month. He said his shift ends at 17:00 today and that he'll ask his supervisor and then get in contact with me later.

I have to say that I'm really wowed by how amazing he was. I originally spoke to someone from the 0800 000 636 number, when they told me that they'll put me through to 0800 333 636 - apparently that's the number for their clients and new applications - he was also really helpful. I barely waited 20 seconds before someone took my call. I'm sorry, but that really impresses me. I remember waiting 6 hours for Telkom's technical support desk to take my call one morning between 02:00 and 08:00 when my ADSL line decided to backflip. I gave up and went to bed only to get up at 10:00 to find it MAGICALLY working again. On average, my holding time with Telkom was 20 minutes.

Neotel, Kevin - THANK YOU. I haven't been this wowed by service in South Africa since... Jeez... ever. I take my hat off to you guys and I haven't even paid you a cent yet! :p Keep it up!

I'm so frikkin' excited!

But the real question is: "Does Neotel blend?"

What I've been told is that for the initial stages of signing up they are guaranteeing uncapped.

She did however mention that it was going to be in the interim and that they would implement a capping polciy at a later stage.I imagine they'd wanna get the feel for how their network will stand up to customers raping it :D

Or just to get people to join them.

Anyone notice on that map how most of the cables come together in Bloem? That must be a good sign for the future!! I hope Neotel becomes available here soon!
