No Data connection but full signal

Hi,

As cellc we don't want to loose clients and we are pushing our network team to do all they can to resolve the network queries logged and escalated them.

You are loosing plenty of customers, whether you like it or not! Just because you are extremely poor in communicating. Bull**** answers with a network team acting as if it is isolated incidents and being "unaware" of the major national issue.

Pity all the people on contract that is stuck for ..... Maybe it is now time to escalate to higher powers and the media to warn potential new people of the serious issue. I personally would have loved being warned about facts like this before I sign a contract!

With a good 3g connection and a measured signal strength of -65dbm and you get zero throughput is prove of serious internal network issues. Not coverage, towers, etc. So bad that speedtest.net cannot even find a server!

Going from Hero to Zero proves all. You cannot simply have excellent throughput and then suddenly nothing (refrase, very limited at very limited occassions). Prove that something suddenly went wrong. Not sudden more customers, congestion, etc. LTE? LTE? LTE?

Blah blah blah ... Maybe you can also answer me as to how my posts on your Facebook page seem to be magically disappearing ? Good thing you have no control over them here, so I'll say it again ...

If you're providing half a service, or no service, isn't it only fair and logical that I pay half the bill, or not at all ? I'm putting a stop order on the debit as of this month. I bet you guys are very efficient at chasing up people that don't pay their bills. I'll also conjure up some bull***** excuses as well just so I can speak your language, and I'll even put your accounts department on hold for 20mins just so they can feel at home. How's that sound ?

I've also written to a few media people informing them of the situation, and I've pointed them to this and other similar threads, as well as your Facebook page where numerous others are complaining about the same thing. I'm sure if questioned, the same scripted "we are doing everything we can" excuse will be used, but at least word will get out to people that don't use this forum or Facebook. People have a right to know what they're getting into by signing up with CellC. Your prices are cheap, but lately, so is your service, that is, when there *is* service.

CellC is clearly covering themselves against any legal implications by not issuing an admission that their network cannot deliver as advertised.
Data has not been a big issue with me.
In my instance it has been poor call quality and dropped calls. Definitely not my phone that is faulty.

There are times that i have no problems at all in the same coverage area.
This is a clear indication that congestion is the problem.

I got banned from cell c facebook page. They didn't like my questions and statements. I called 0841 555 555. The reception was so bad, the agents couldn't hear, so they hanged up. That happened 5 times. I had to call from my Vodacom # in order for them to hear me. They logged a fault. No feedback. The weekend I had full bars, no Internet access. Had to use Vodacom phone to get Internet access. I can't commit to a contract with cell c with such terrible voice and data coverage. I renewed my work contract with Vodacom. Expensive but more reliable than cell c. Plenty of complaints on cell c facebook page and hellopeter. So cell c, what are you doing to fix the problem? One day you will have to answer. Cheap calls, data and cheap coverage.

Business hours, so performance dropping by the minute, even though good reception :

Soon it will stop working altogether, until about 19:00. This is in Illovo, Joburg.

Time to switch to Vodacom, at least until tonight.

I'm waiting until the end of March. If things don't get sorted out, I will cancel and pay whatever I owe for the device, BUT, not without shouting about how pathetic your network and service is to every single customer in the store.

What about data bundles that will start to expire soon?
You cant use them as there is no data through put so now they carry over and get lost?

Anyone got connections in 702 or Carte-Blanche? It will be awesome for John Robbie/Derick Watts to get Allan Knot-Craig on air and get him to explain how they can continue to charge customers for a service that they can't use at all. And also why is it taking so long to resolve the issue? this must be a breach of contract from their part. Come now ICASA / CPA step in here.

still have this , did sim swap 2 times ( cell c u owe me over 200) and have "lost"data the last few months due to not being able to use it. again spoke to cellc tech dep who jsut gave me yet another ref nr.

tested this on a iphone 4s, iphone 5 and cell c zte modem.

went to pre paid on VC with intention on joining cell c on my daily voice contract but luckly i had to wait and got time to see cell c is not so great.

Problem persists.

You lose your unused data like everyone else. I lost 800MB+ last month.

on logging my fault i was told i would recieve a phone call within 24 hours....

what a laugh that was!

Cell C i am still waiting for my phone call...

Check on my son's Blackberry. Full 3G connection and you send a BBM, it takes about 2 hours to send! How much data is this? Some kb's only! Once this issue is solved, Cell C needs to supply all with a months data for free. Fair is fair!

This morning speed test why can't you keep it like this Cell C?

Last Result:
Download Speed: 5783 kbps (722.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 1576 kbps (197 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 80 ms

On the shopfloor this may be unknown but in the corporate hallways this is a known issue - lack of capacity on the sites and lack of ability do fix it - i don't think Allan is a happy camper

AKC 's reputation is at stake. If i remember correctly he requested that he be given time until March 2013 to get everything "right" at CELLC.

We as subscribers are definitely not on the same page.

Customers service is bad . Call quality is terrible. Data is non existent.

AKC YOU HAVE FAILED YOUR EXAM

been in contact with the Cell C rep here via PM.
i've given him a 2 week deadline before i port away from Cell C.
- i'd love to get some sort of refund from Cell C for the lack of service, but that would be farting against thunder. gonna cut my losses and run back to vodacon/MTN
