OCZ Vertex 3 report back

I really think you should stop doing these benchmarks, it's ok to do benchmarks but I think you are really doing so many it is wearing out your SSD.

If you did a secure erase and install Windows 7 SP1 + Intel RST driver you'll get the most from your SSD.

However the faster you wear out your SSD the lower the performance.

However if you insist on benchmarking: http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/f...ecifications-for-OCZ-quot-3-quot-series-SSD-s

Gnome, quick question about SSD's, I have installed all my stuff on another drive and just have BF3 and my OS on there.
Surely this will also lower the life of it then? Always being on for long periods of time?

The only thing lowers the life of an SSD is writes. Nothing else. NAND can only survive so many write cycles.

Reading/being powered on doesn't have any impact.

Just EFT'd R1670 incl. shipping to Wootware for a OCZ 120GB Vertex 3!!!

Sooo amped.. :D
