Good thing I read the fine print - it's a little underhanded advertising R1.70/gig and then later explaining that only applies if you sign up for 3 months at a time.

So according to the fine print, if I wanted a once off 100GB account to evaluate the service before signing up, I'd need to fill in my details, sign up, pay, and then contact support and ask them to move it to month to month?

You can only sync in whole numbers so 3mb would be the next profile down.
My line was only stable at 3mb so I know all about it.

Did you phone the call center and have it synced at a lower speed? Because I spoke to one person and they said they can send a technician to help out and see if I can even change my exchange. Sucks you can only sync at whole numbers.

It would be underhanded if we only added it to terms and conditions but we add it to the primary product page before the sign up form.

You can ask support immediately as you sign up to provision the account on the month-to-month offering instead and that's how it will be provisioned and how you will pay. :)

CW, any news on the duel network being released before 18 Jan?

Absolutely. Still much being done here behind the scenes right now, so by the end of this week I will have the necessary updates for you, and I'll ensure it is done before the 19th.

Just as I submit a report with screenshots of NNTP performance it suddenly starts running full speed again. Deff some wrong though. When I was getting bad speeds I tested with a game update that uses torrents and that ran full speed(10m) vs NNTP that ran at about 1m to 2m speeds. Lets hope support can sort it out :)

Could you shed some light on what this dual network is?

The reason I asked was because I would have liked to see it and try it out before I quit CW. For some or other reason I am unable to download from the CW news server above 80KB/s; and I am lucky if I get above 90KB/s from Astra Web too.

Browsing is a bit inconsistent. Pages load fast, but images are slow as hell. Browsing reddit for example, threads are fast, YouTube videos stream instantly which is awesome, but any links to images or imgur take forever to load. I'm talking waiting 30 seconds for an 800k image to load up. Is this normal?

25 percent line speed nntp

Ah so not just me. Busy test driving a capped account and haven't been able to hit line speed on nntp all day. Hoping support can sort it out so I can properly evaluate performance.

Gaming latency has increased a bit and not as stable as it should be right now - been reported to resolve. NNTP speeds are already being investigated to see what is happening here. Two providers to address this with but will get it sorted.

Slow image browsing - not sure I've seen that crop up before but if you get hold of support they can try to see what's going on for you on that front.
